The Running Charts

Three charts, followed all the way through. You meet them early and know almost nothing about them; by Week 13 you can say what each life was set up to receive and when the chart said it could arrive. The point is not variety — it is that the same chart looks different to you every time you come back to it.

Chart A - the teaching chart

Rama

Where this chart comes from

Birth data
not a dated birth record, not recorded — Ayodhya (not applicable)
Rating
classical literary source, not a birth record
Basis
Valmiki Ramayana, Bala Kanda, sarga 18. The text names the month, the tithi, the nakshatra, the rising sign, and five planets in exaltation with the signs they occupy. Jupiter is said to be with the Moon in the rising sign.
What that means for you
This is not documentary birth data and is not treated as such. There is no birth time, so there are no degrees, no divisional charts and no dasha sequence for this chart. Its value is that the source states a complete and unusually clean set of sign placements, which is precisely what a first teaching chart needs.
Computed with
not applicable - no degrees are recorded. none; placements are quoted from the source. Nodes: not stated by the source. Houses: whole sign.

Three of the nine grahas are missing from this chart because the source does not place them, and the empty slots are left visible rather than filled in. That is worth more to a beginner than a complete-looking chart would be: it is the first time the course shows you the difference between what a source says and what people say it says.

Rama — Rashi chart (D1)Placements as the source states them.

Not placed: Mercury, Rahu, Ketu — the source this chart comes from does not say where they go, and nothing has been supplied to fill the space.

Albert Einstein

Where this chart comes from

Birth data
1879-03-14, 11:30 — Ulm, Germany (LMT +00:40 (Ulm local mean time; Germany did not adopt Central European Time until 1893))
Rating
Rodden AA
Basis
Birth certificate held in the Einstein Archive, which records the birth on 14 March 1879 'before noon at eleven and a half'.
What that means for you
Recorded to the half hour rather than the minute. The Lagna moves roughly a degree every four minutes, so the rising sign is secure and the exact Lagna degree is not quite. Nothing in this course rests on that degree.
