1-2½ : Maharishi Parasara Said The lords of Nakshatras Jyeshta and Moola are Indra Deva (इन्द्रदेव) and Rakshasa (राक्षस) and both being highly inimical to each other, the birth taking place in their Gandanta (Junction) will suffer from severe affliction (दोष). A son or a daughter born during Abhukta Moola should be deserted or else, the father should not see the child upto eight years from the birth. For the purpose of getting relieved from this evil effect, I now narrate the method of propitiation.

While chanting the above Mantra, they (father, mother and son) should clearly see the reflections of their faces in the Ghee (in melted form). With these alleviatory measures, all the afflictions (evil effects) arising out of the birth of the native (son) in the Moola gandanta (अभुक्त मूल) will get destroyed.
