Week 12 — Specialized Horoscopy, Karma, Remedies, and Completion
Twenty-three chapters, and they total less than Week 8's three. What unites them is that each addresses a specific circumstance rather than the general method: this kind of person, this kind of birth, this kind of question. Read as one block, Parashara's structure becomes visible - he finishes the general system, then handles the special cases, then closes the book.
What you should be able to do by the end
Handle the classical, karmic and remedial material responsibly - knowing what BPHS actually says, what it does not say, and how to discuss it with someone whose life it concerns.
Do not let the chapter count alarm you. Chapters 87 to 98 are twelve chapters totalling under four thousand words between them, and they are taught as one topic with a lookup table, not as twelve lessons.
Three things here need care rather than length. Female horoscopy: Parashara states that all previously given results apply equally, and then adds what is specific. That framing is the honest way to teach it, and much of Chapters 82 and 83 is plainly located in its period - which the course says out loud rather than pretending otherwise. Curses of the previous birth, Chapter 85, is real doctrine and is not erased; it is taught as a system of meaning about inherited difficulty, not as a diagnosis to hand someone. Remedies are presented as what they are: Parashara’s prescribed propitiations, neither endorsed as mechanisms nor dismissed.
And then Chapter 100, where Parashara closes the book by saying who should practise this and how. It is worth reading properly.
How this week is divided
5 sittings, cut where the subject changes rather than by the clock. Each one is a reasonable place to stop.
What a chart is made of
You will be able to read a chart's elemental and guṇa composition, and know what BPHS says about the configurations that turn a life away from worldly involvement.
Female horoscopy, and what the body shows
You will have read Chapters 82 to 84 accurately, in their historical context, and be able to state Parashara's own framing of what is general and what is specific.
Karma carried forward
You will know what BPHS actually teaches about inherited difficulty and the remedies it prescribes — as a system of meaning, not as a diagnosis to deliver.
Difficult births, and Parashara's last word
You will be able to find any of the twelve propitiation chapters by circumstance in seconds, know what horary is and that this course does not teach it, and have read Parashara's own closing statement on who may practise and how.
Module 7 Chart Clinic — the Navigation Clinic
You will answer twelve real questions spanning the whole of BPHS by naming the chapter, the technique, and what the text would have you examine — without performing the analysis.
