Week 4 — Bhavas 6-12, the Bhava Lords, and the Shadow Points
This completes the twelve-house survey and then does the thing that turns a static chart into a connected one. A house stops being a place and becomes a link, because its lord sits somewhere else and carries that house's matters into another's territory. Lordship is the single most powerful interpretive idea in Parashari Jyotish.
What you should be able to do by the end
Trace any Bhava's matters through its lord to wherever that lord sits, and say what that connection does - reading Chapter 26 as a system rather than as a hundred and forty-four things to memorise.
Chapter 26 is eighteen thousand words long and gives the effects of each of the twelve lords in each of the twelve houses. A hundred and forty-four combinations. It is the single largest lookup block in Volume 1, and trying to memorise it is exactly where most people abandon BPHS.
So we do something else. You read one lord’s treatment across all twelve houses in full, learn the pattern that generates every entry - the nature of the house it rules, the nature of the house it occupies, and its own condition - and then sample the rest. You finish the week able to use all hundred and forty-four, having memorised none.
The other thing to watch: the tenth house. It is not career. It is Karma - action, deeds, work, public activity - and career is one modern application of that older and larger idea.
