Why this matters
A method you have extracted from one chapter is a hypothesis until you test it on chapters you did not extract it from. That is what this unit does, and it also does the first proper retrospective work of the course: a documented event on a chart with reliable data, worked forward from the natal promise rather than backward from the outcome.

Testing the generator
Read Chapter 55, the Moon’s Antardaśās, and decompose entries into the five factors: dignity, house from the Lagna, position from the Mahādaśā lord, lordships, conjunctions and aspects.
Then Chapter 56, Mars’s Antardaśās, faster.
The generator holds. Every entry rests on some combination of the five, and by the end of Chapter 56 you should be reading at survey pace with full comprehension.
That is worth doing deliberately rather than assuming, because if it had failed you would have learned something important — that Chapter 54 is idiosyncratic and the nine chapters have to be read individually, which would make Week 10 impossible. It does not fail, and knowing that from a test rather than from being told is the difference between a method and a claim.
The first retrospective
Now the other half of this unit, and the order of operations is the entire point.
You have a chart with birth-certificate data and a well-dated public record. That combination is rare and it is why Chart C is in this course.
The procedure:
- Write the natal promise. What does this chart show about the relevant area? Houses, lords, kārakas, yogas, condition. Half a page, in writing, before anything else.
- Identify the periods running at the documented date.
- Run the five factors on both lords.
- Write the timing statement — given that promise, does this period plausibly activate it, and by which specific factors?
- Ask the honest question, and write the answer down.
That last step is the one that matters.
The honest question
Would you have said this period could deliver that, if you had not known the event?
Answer it specifically rather than generally. Which parts of your reading are you confident you would have produced blind, and which did you construct because you already knew what you were constructing?
What a retrospective is actually worth
Be clear about the epistemics, because it affects how much you should take from this exercise.
Retrospective agreement is weak evidence. A chart contains enough factors — twelve houses, nine grahas, four kinds of condition, dozens of connections — that some account can usually be constructed for any event. Finding one is not much of an achievement.
A retrospective that fails is informative. That is the one case where the construction pressure works against you rather than for you. If you genuinely cannot make the period fit the event despite trying, you have learned something.
A prospective statement is the strong test, and you get it in Week 10’s clinic and Week 13.
So what is the exercise for? Rehearsal. The chain — natal promise, Mahādaśā, Antardaśā, activated themes, in that order — has to become fluent on real data with real dates before blind work is possible at all. Treating retrospectives as confirmation is the mistake. Treating them as practice is the use.
One more caution on precision
An event falls two weeks after an Antardaśā boundary. How much does that mean?
Very little. Trace the boundary back: it derives from the Mahādaśā start, which derives from the balance at birth, which derives from the Moon’s exact position, which derives from the birth time. And the year-length convention shifts boundaries independently of all that.
Even with a birth time good to the minute, a period boundary carries an uncertainty of weeks. Reading significance into an event landing just inside or just outside one is reading precision into a number that does not have it.

स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे चन्द्रे त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ।
भाग्यकर्माधिपैर्युक्ते गजाश्वाम्बरसंकुलम ॥ १ ॥
देवतागुरुभक्तिश्च पुण्यश्लोकादिकीर्तनम् ।
राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं यशोवृद्धिः सुखावहा ॥ २ ॥
पूर्णे चन्द्रे बलं पूर्णं सेनापत्यं महत्सुखम् ॥ २/½ ॥
1-2½: If the Moon is posited in the exaltation sign, own sign, Angles, Trines or in the 11th house or in conjunction with the lords of the 9th or the 10th house, the Antardasa of the Moon also in the Mahadasa of the Moon will deliver elephants, horses, gain of clothes, faith in ones own convictions, worship of deities, recitation of hymns (Statoras) for the attainment of benevolent aspirations, kingdom, utmost happiness, raise in fame etc. If the Moon has the full strength, native gets the position of a commander and attains great happiness.
पापयुक्तेऽथवा चन्द्रे नीचे वा रिष्फषष्ठगे ॥ ३ ॥
तत्काले धननाश: स्यात् स्थानच्युतिरथापि वा ।
देहालस्यं मनस्तापो राजमन्त्रिविरोधकृत् ॥ ४ ॥
मातृक्लेशो मनोदुःखं निगडं बन्धुनाशनम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु रन्ध्ररिष्फेशसंयुते ॥ ५ ॥
देहजाड्यं महाभंगमपमृत्योर्भयं वदेत् ।
श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यात् स्वदशान्तर्गते विधौ ॥ ६ ॥
3-6 : If the Moon duly conjunct with the malefic plants or placed in the 6th or the 8th house, the Antardasa or Mahadasa of the Moon will cause heavy financial loss, destruction of house, physical apathy, mental disturbances, opposition from the minis ters, mother's distress, sadden heart, imprisonment, loss of ac quaintances. If the Moon is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house or in conjunction with the lord of the 12th or the 8th house, it will indicate body stiffness, some disease or early death. To mellow down the evil effects, white cow, buffalo (female) be given in charity.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते भौमे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
सौभाग्यं राजसन्मानं वस्त्राभरणभूषणम् ॥ ७ ॥
यत्नात् कार्यार्थसिद्धिस्तु भविष्यति न संशयः ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च व्यवहारे जयो भवेत् ॥ ८ ॥
कार्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे फलम् ॥ ८½ ॥
7-8½: From the Ascendant, if Mars is placed in Angle or Trine and is in its own sign, the Antardasa of Mars and Mahadasa of the Moon will undoubtedly bring more good luck, felicitation from the king (Government), acquisition of clothes and ornaments, success in ventures but through sustained efforts, increase of land and property, extraordinary success in the business or profit from the professional activities, utmost happiness etc.
तथाष्टमव्यये भौमे पापयुक्तेऽथ वा यदि ॥ ९ ॥
दायेशादशुभस्थाने देहार्तिः परवीक्षिते ।
गृहक्षेत्रादिहानिश्च व्यवहारे तथा क्षतिः ॥ १० ॥
भृत्यवर्गेषु कलहो भूपालस्य विरोधनम् ।
आत्मबन्धुवियोगश्च नित्यं निष्ठुरभाषणम् ॥ ११ ॥
द्वितीये धूननाथे तु रन्ध्रे रन्ध्राधिपो यदा ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं ब्राह्मणस्याऽर्चनं चरेत् ॥ १२ ॥
9-12 : In case Mars duly conjunct with the malefic planets and is placed in the 6th, the 8th orthe 12th house and in inauspicious house from Mahadasa lord, in the Mar's Antardasa, will cause disease, loss in agriculture and business, conflict with borthers, opposition of the king, grief of relatives, sarcastic and bitter utter ances every day. If the same Mars becomes the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house or posited or takes up the lordship of the 8th house, the effects will be the worst. To mitigate the evil effects of the Mars, utter respect be paid to the Brahmins.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते राहौ लग्नात् केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
आदौ स्वल्पफलं ज्ञेयं शत्रुपीडा महद्भयम् ॥ १३ ॥
चौराहिराजभीतिश्च चतुष्पाज्जीवपीडनम् ।
बन्धुनाशो मित्रहानिर्मानहानिर्मनोव्यथा ॥ १४ ॥
13-14: During the Moon's Mahadasa and the Antardasa of Rahu, if Rahu is in Angle or Trine from the Ascendant, in the beginning, there will be very little good results and thereafter it will cause trouble from the enemies, great fear, theft, fright, danger from the king, disease to the animal, destruction of the relatives, loss of friend, embarrasment and mental distress.
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे लग्नादुपचयेऽपि वा ।
योगकारकसम्बन्धे सर्वकार्यार्थसिद्धिकृत् ॥ १५ ॥
नैर्ऋत्ये पश्चिमे भागे क्वचित्प्रभुसमागमः ।
वाहनाम्बरलाभश्च स्वेष्टकार्यार्थसिद्धिकृत् ॥ १६ ॥
15-16 : If Rahu is posited in the Upachaya houses (3, 6, 10, 11) and in conjunction with or aspected by the benefic planets or form connections with the Yogakarka planets, in its Antardasa, there will be success in all the works, meeting with the king in the south-west or westernly direction, gains of vehicles, clothes and will have success in all jobs of liking.
दायेशादथ रन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ।
स्थानभ्रंशो मनोदुःखं पुत्रक्लेशो महद्भयम् ॥ १७ ॥
दारपीडा क्वचिज्ज्ञेया कवचित्स्वांगे रुजोभयम् ।
वृश्चिकादिविषाद् भीतिश्चौराहिनृपपीडनम् ॥ १८ ॥
17-18: A weak Rahu posited in the 8th or the 12th place from the lord of Mahadasa, will cause mental conflicts, danger to son, grave fear, at times trouble to the wife or self sickness, danger from scorpio or serpent (reptiles) or from thief and persecution by the king.
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ।
पुण्यतीर्थफलावाप्तिर्देवतादर्शनं महत् ॥ १९ ॥
परोपकारधर्मादिपुण्यकर्मादिसंग्रहः ।
द्वितीयद्यूनराशिस्थे देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ २० ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं रुद्रजाप्यं समाचरेत् ।
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत देहारोग्यं प्रजायते ॥ २१ ॥
19-21 : If Rahu is in Angle or Trine or the 3rd or the 11th house from the lord of the 10th house, native receives benefits of the pilgrimage of the holy shrines, perception of deity, develops inclination towards benevolent works, religious, sacred and pious deeds. If the same Rahu is placed in the 2nd or the 7th house, physical sickness will be caused. For warding off the evil effects, Mantras (Japa) of Lord Shiva be recited and goat be given in charity so that good health is maintained.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते जीवे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वगेहे लाभगे स्वोच्चे राज्यलाभो महोत्सवः ॥ २२ ॥
वस्त्राऽलंकारभूषाप्ती राजप्रीतिर्धनागमः ।
इष्टदेवप्रसादेन गर्भाधानादिकं फलम् ॥ ३३ ॥
तथा शोभनकार्याणि गृहे लक्ष्मी: कटाक्षकृत् ।
राजाश्रयं धनं भूमिगजवाजिसमन्वितम् ॥ २४ ॥
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ॥ २४½ ॥
22-24½: From the Ascendant, if Jupiter is posited in Angle Trine, in exaltation or own sign or in the 11th house, the Antardasa of Jupiter of the Mahadasa of the Moon will bestow kingdom, high profiled functions, clothes, ornaments, pleasure of the king, con ception with the blessings of devoted deity etc. Also pious work, wealth with the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi (wealth) and the sovereign, land, assets of elephants, horses, success in the auspicious rendering activities with the blessings of the king (Gov ernment) will be the results during this period.
षष्ठाष्टमव्यये जीवे नीचे वास्तडगंते यदि ॥ २५ ॥
पापयुक्तेऽशुभं कर्म गुरुपुत्रादिनाशनम् ।
स्थानभ्रंशो मनोदुःखमकस्मात्कलहो ध्रुवम् ॥ २६ ॥
गृहक्षेत्रादिनाशश्च वाहनाम्बरनाशनम् ।
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ॥ २७ ॥
भोजनाम्बरपश्वादि-लाभं सौख्यं करोति च ।
भ्रात्रादिसुखसम्पतिं धैर्यं वीर्यपराक्रमम् ॥ २८ ॥
यज्ञ- व्रत - विवाहादि-राज्यश्री- धनसम्पदः ॥ २८½ ॥
25-28½: If Jupiter is posited in the Trik houses (6,8,12) or in debilitation or combust in the Antardasa of Jupiter, unethical deeds, affliction to preceptor or children etc., destruction of place, grief or occurrence of sudden dispute will be the result. Also loss to house, agriculture fields etc., vehicle and clothes will take place. If Jupiter is placed in Angles, Trine, or in the 3rd, the 11th house from the lord of the Mahadasa, in its period, Jupiter will give the benefit of food, clothes, animals etc., happiness from brothers property, patience, efforts, religious penance, marriages etc. festive func tions, gain of wealth and property from the king (Government).
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्ये व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ॥ २९ ॥
करोति कुत्सितान्नं च विदेशगमनं तथा ।
भुक्त्यादौ शोभनं प्रोक्तमन्ते क्लेशकरं भवेत् ॥ ३० ॥
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे च ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् ।
स्वर्णदानमिति प्रोक्तं सर्वकष्टनिवारकम् ॥ ३१ ॥
29-31: If Jupiter is posited in the Trik house (6, 8, 12) from the Dasa lord, and also weak, in the Antardasa of Jupiter the result will be bad food, foreign travels. The beginning of the Antardasa confers happiness but the end of Dasa brings conflicts. If Jupiter is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause an early death. To mitigate the evil effects, recitation of the Japa of 'Shiva Sahasranama" be undertaken and gold be given in charity.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वक्षेत्रे स्वांशगे चैव मन्दे तुंगांशसंयुते ॥ ३२ ॥
शुभदृष्टयुते वाऽपि लाभे वा बलसंयुते ।
पुत्रमित्रार्थसम्पत्तिः शूद्रप्रभुसमागमात् ||३३ ॥
व्यवसायात्फलाधिक्यं गृहे क्षेत्रादिवृद्धिदम् ।
पुत्रलाभश्च कल्याणं राजानुग्रहवैभवम् ॥ ३४ ॥
32-34 : If Saturn is posited in the Angles, Trines, own or exaltation signs, in own Navamsa sign, conjunction with or aspected by the benefic planets, strong in Shadbalas and placed in the 11th house, the Antardasa of Saturn of the Mahadasa of the Moon will bestow wealth, friendship, children, success in the business at the behest of the king, increase of house and agricultural land, welfare, attainment of status with the blessings of the king etc.
षष्ठाष्टमव्यये मन्दे नीचे वा धनगेऽपि वा ।
तद्भुक्त्यादौ पुण्यतीर्थे स्नानं चैव तु दर्शनम् ॥ ३५ ॥
अनेकजनत्रासश्च शस्त्रपीडा भविष्यति ॥ ३५ ½ ॥
Verse 35½35-35½ : If Saturn's position in the 6th, the 8th or 12th house or in debilitation sign or the 2nd house, the Antardasa of Saturn will cause visits to holy places, attrocities from different persons and trouble from the enemies.
दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे त्रिकोणे बलगेऽपि वा ॥ ३६ ॥
क्वचित्सौख्यं धनाप्तिश्च दारपुत्रविरोधकृत् ।
द्वितीयद्यूनरन्ध्रस्थे देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ३७ ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्याद्दानेनारोग्यमादिशेत् ॥ ३८ ॥
36-38: If Saturn is posited at Angle or Trine from the lord of the Mahadasa, the Antardasa of Saturn will at time, provide comforts, gain of wealth opposition of wife and children. Placement of Saturns in the 2nd, the 7th or the 8th house, brings body pains. Recitation of Mrityunjaya or Goddess Kali Mantras and donation of cow, buffalo (female) etc. in charity will help warding off the evil effects and providing sound health.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वर्क्षे निजांशके सौम्ये तुंगे वा बलसंयुते ॥ ३९ ॥
धनागमो राजमानप्रियवस्त्रादिलाभकृत् ।
विद्याविनोदसद्गोष्ठी ज्ञानवृद्धिः सुखावहा ॥ ४० ॥
सन्तानप्राप्तिः सन्तोषो वाणिज्याद्धनलाभकृत् ।
वाहनच्छत्रसंयुक्तनानालंकार-लाभकृत् ॥ ४१ ॥
39-41 : Mercury's position in Angle, Trine, the 11th house, own, exaltation or Navamsa sign and also powerful in Shadbalas will attribute gain of wealth, felicitation of king, contentment of choiced apparel, debate overs Shastras, (scholarly works) intensi fication of the knowledge, birth of a child, satisfaction, profitable business, acquisition of costly vehicles duly decorated with various gadgets in the Antardasa of Mercury of the Mahadasa of the Moon.
दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा ।
विवाहो यज्ञदीक्षा च दानधर्मशुभादिकम् ॥ ४२ ॥
राजप्रीतिकरश्चैव विद्वज्जनसमागमः ।
मुक्तामणिप्रवालानि वाहनाम्बरभूषणम् ॥ ४३ ॥
आरोग्यप्रीतिसौख्यं च सोमपानादिकं सुखम् ॥ ४३½ ॥
42-43½: If Mercury is situated at Angle, Trines, the 2nd or the 11th house from the lord of the Mahadasa (the Moon) in its Antardasa, there will be marriage, and accomplishment of Yagna' (offering oblations into fire), charity etc. types of pious deeds. Company of the scholarly group of persons those pleases the king, acquisition of gems like pearls, coral, ruby etc., vehicles, clothes, ornaments, sound health, love, comforts and consuming of Soma Rasa' (Alcohol) are the other results discernable during the Antardasa of Saturn.
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा नीचगेऽपि वा ॥ ४४ ॥
तद्भुक्तौ देहबाधा च कृर्षिगोभूमिनाशनम् ।
कारागृहप्रवेशश्च दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ४५ ॥
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ज्वरपीडा महद्भयम् ।
छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥ ४६ ॥
44-46: From Mahadasa lord if, Saturn is posited in Trik houses (6, 8, 12) or in debilitation, its Antardasa will cause body Fache, destruction of crops, cow, land, imprisonment, trouble of wife and children. Being the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, pains through fever or great fear is experienced. To mellow down its evil effects, donation of goat in charity and recitation of Lord Vishnu's Sahasra Nama be performed.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते केतौ केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
दुश्चिक्ये बलसंयुक्ते धनलाभं महत्सुखम् ॥ ४७ ॥
पुत्रदारादिसौख्यं च विधिकर्म करोति च ।
भुक्त्यादौ धनहानिः स्यान्मध्यगे सुखमाप्नुयात् ॥ ४८ ॥
47-48 : If Ketu is placed in the Angle, the Trine or the 11th, the 3rd house and possessing strength, the Antardasa of Ketu of the Mahadasa of the Moon will provide gain of wealth, great enjoyment, happiness to wife and children, religious deeds and the beginning of the Antardasa will cause loss of wealth and in the middle, will bring high level of comforts.
दायेशात्केन्द्रलाभे वा त्रिकोणे बलसंयुते ।
क्वचित्फलं दशादौ तु दद्यात् सौख्यं धनगमम् ॥ ४९ ॥
गोमहिष्यादिलाभं च भुक्त्यन्ते चार्थनाशनम् ॥ ४९½ ॥
Verse 49½49-49½ : In the event of Antardasa lord is place at Angle, Trine or the 11th house from the Mahadasa lord and is endowed with strength, the beginning of Antardasa brings about the benefits of wealth, comforts and animals like, cow, buffalo (female) etc., and there will be loss of wealth towards the end of Antardasa.
पापयुक्तेऽथवा दृष्टे दायेशाद्रन्ध्ररिःफगे ॥ ५० ॥
शत्रुतः कार्यहानिः स्यादकस्मात्कलहो ध्रुवम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूनराशिस्थे ह्यनारोग्यं महद्भयम् ॥५१ ॥
मृत्युञ्जयजपं कुर्यात् सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायकम् ।
ततः शान्तिमवाप्नोति शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ५२ ॥
50-52 : Should the lord of Antardasa be at the 6th or the 8th house from the lord of the Mahadasa and in conjunction with or aspected by the malefic planets, in that case there will defintely be the loss in the venture through the enemies and befall of sudden calamity. The same Ketu if posited in the 2nd or the 7th house, physical ailment, great fear will be the effects. In this critical period, the recitation (Japa) of Mrityunjaya Matras (Vedic hymns), the evil effects will get mellowed down with the blessings of Lord Shiva.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे वापि राज्यलाभं करोति च ॥ ५३ ॥
महाराजप्रसादेन वाहनाम्बरभूषणम् ।
चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभः स्याद्दारपुत्रादिवर्धनम् ॥ ५४ ॥
नूतनागारनिर्माणं नित्यं मिष्ठान्नभोजनम् ।
सुगन्धपुष्पमाल्यादिरम्यस्त्रयारोग्यसम्पदम् ॥ ५५ ॥
53-55 : During the Antardasa of Venus of the Mahadasa of the Moon, if Venus is posited in Angle, Trine, the 11th house, own or exalted sign, there will be gain of kingdom (high placement) acquisition of vehicle, clothes and ornaments with the generosity of the king. Besides, increase of animals, pleasure of the wife, increase of children, construction of new mansion, meals with sweet every day, will receive strings of fragrant flowers, beautiful wife and sound health will be the other results.
दशाधिपेन संयुक्ते देहसौख्यं महत्सुखम् ।
सत्कीर्तिसुखसम्पत्तिगृहक्षेत्रादिवृद्धिकृत् ॥ ५६ ॥
56: If Venus is placed with the lord of the Mahadasa (the Moon) there will be improvement in the physical comforts, fame, happiness, property, house, agriculture etc.
नीचे वाऽस्तंगते शुक्रे पापग्रहयुतेक्षिते ।
भूनाशः पुत्रमित्रादिनाशनं पत्निनाशनम् ॥ ५७ ॥
चतुष्पाज्जीवहानिः स्याद्राजद्वारे विरोधकृत् ॥ ५७½ ॥
Verse 57½57-57½ : The position of Venus in debilitation, or combust and also combined with or aspected by the malefic planets, destruction or loss of land, children, friend, wife, animals and confrontation with the king will be the results.
धनस्थानगते शुक्रे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुते ॥ ५८ ॥
निधिलाभं महत्सौख्यं भूलाभं पुत्रसम्भवम् ।
भाग्यलाभाधिपैर्युक्ते भाग्यवृद्धिः करोत्यसौ ॥ ५९ ॥
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ।
देवब्राह्मणभक्तिश्च मुक्ताविद्रुमलाभकृत् ॥ ६० ॥
58-60 : If Venus is posited in the 2nd house, in own or exalted sign, gain of hidden treasure (underground), abundant comforts, profit of land, child birth are the possible results. The conjunction with the lord of the 9th or the 11th house, rise in the fortune, comforts on the behest of the king, success in the work of own liking, worship of God and Brahmin, gain of pearl or gems like coral etc. will be the out come of the Antardasa.
दायेशाल्लाभगे शुक्रे त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च वित्तलाभो महत्सुखम् ॥ ६१ ॥
61: Venus position in Angles, Trines, the 11th house, from the lord of the Mahadasa lord, increase in land and property, gain of wealth and abundant happiness will be the effects.
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्धस्थे व्येय वा पापसंयुते ।
विदेशवासदुःखातिमृत्युचौरादिपीडनम् ॥ ६२ ॥
62 : If Venus is posited in a Trik house (6,8,12) from the lord of the Mahadasa (the Moon), banishment to an alien country, sarrows, death and danger from thieves and snakes will be the results.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु अपमृत्युभयं भवेत् ।
तद्दोषविनिवृत्त्यर्थं रुद्रजाप्यं च कारयेत् ॥ ६३ ॥
श्वेतां गां रजतं दद्याच्छान्तिमाप्नोत्यसंशयः ।
शंकरस्य प्रसादेन नाऽत्र कार्या विचारणा ॥ ६४ ॥
63-64 : if Venus is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, danger of death is there and to alleviate the evil effects, recitation of hymns in praise of Lord Shiva, charity of white cow and silver be resorted to and with the blessings of Lord Shiva, peace will undoubtedly, prevail.
चन्द्रस्यान्तर्गते भानौ स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रसंयुते ।
केन्द्र त्रिकोणे लाभे वा धने वा सोदरालये ॥ ६५ ॥
नष्टराज्यधनप्राप्तिर्गृहे कल्याणशोभनम् ।
मित्रराजप्रसादेन ग्रामभूम्यादिलाभकृत् ॥ ६६ ॥
गर्भाधानफलप्राप्तिर्गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ।
भुक्त्यन्ते देह आलस्यं ज्वरपीडा भविष्यति ॥ ६७ ॥
65-67: If the Sun is exalted or in own sign or posited in Angle, Trine or in the 11th, the 2nd or the 3rd, the native will regain the lost kingdom or wealth, welfare at home, gain of control over the village and land with the favour of friends and the king and birth of child, abundant wealth at home will be the effects of the Antardasa of the Sun.
दायेशादपि रन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
नृपचौराहिभीतिश्च ज्वररोगादिसम्भवः ॥ ६८ ॥
विदेशगमने चार्ति लभते न संशयः ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ज्वरपीडा भविष्यति ॥ ६९ ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवपूजां च कारयेत् ।
ततः शान्तिमवाप्नोति शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ७० ॥
68-70 : From the lord of the Mahadasa, if the Sun duly conjunct with the malefic planet, if is posited in the 8th or the 12th house, danger from the king, thief, snake, fever like ailments, are the possibilities. Besides, the foreign travelling will be agonising. Should the Sun be the 2nd or the 7th house, pains from fever will be the result. To alleviate the severty of the ill effects, worship of lord Shiva be undertaken. By resorting to such pious and noble deeds kindness of Lord Shiva will be betowed upon the native.

कुजे स्वान्तर्गते विप्र ! लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
लाभे वा शुभसंयुक्ते दुश्चक्ये धनसंयुते ॥ १ ॥
लग्नाधिपेन संयुक्ते राजाऽनुग्रहवैभवम् ।
लक्ष्मीकटोक्षचिह्वानि नष्टराज्यार्थलाभकृत् ॥ २ ॥
पुत्रोत्सवादिसन्तोषो गृहे गोक्षीरसङ्कुलम् ॥ २½ ॥
1-2½: O Brahmin! If Mars is situated in Angles, Trines, the 11th or the 2nd house from the Ascendant and is also having the conjunction or the aspects of auspicious planets, Mars in its own Antardasa and Mahadasa, will bring great fame with the grace of the king, blessings of Goddess Laxami i.e. abundant wealth, restoration of lost kingdom (high position) and property, festivity on child's birth and satisfaction therefrom and availability of plenty of cow milk in the house.
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे भौमे स्वांशे वा बलसंयुते ॥ ३ ॥
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च गोमहिष्यादिलाभकृत् ।
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धः सुखावहा ॥ ४ ॥
3-4: An exalted Mars in its own sign and Navamsa i.e. if Mars is strong, it will give gain of mansion, land, cows, buffalos. (female) etc.
अथाऽष्टमव्यये भौमे पापदृग्योगसंयुते ।
मूत्रकृच्छ्रादिरोगश्चं कष्टाधिक्यं व्रणाद्भयम् ॥ ५ ॥
चौराहिराजपीडा च धनधान्यपशुक्षयः ॥ ५½ ॥
Verse 5½5-5½: If Mars is posited in the 8th or the 12th house, in conjunction or aspected by the malafic planet, the Antardasa and the Mahadasa of Mars will cause urinary related diseases, grave troubles, danger of injuries, theft, snake bite, persecution by the king and loss of animals, wealth and food grains.
द्वितीये द्यूननाये तु देहजाड्यं मनोव्यथा ॥ ६ ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं रुद्रजाप्यं च कारयेत् ।
अनड्वाहं प्रदद्याच्च कुजदोषनिवृत्तये ॥ ७ ॥
तेन तुष्टो भवेद् भौमः शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ।
आरोग्यं कुरुते तस्य सर्वसम्पत्तिदायकम् ॥ ८ ॥
6-8: The position of Mars in the 2nd or the 7th house produces body sickness and mental agony. In order to neutralize the ill effets, worship of Lord Shiva (Rudra) and donation of bull (ox) in charity be resorted to. With these pious acts for seeking propitiation of planet, Mars will get pleased and with the kindness of Lord Shiva, it will bestow sound health and prosperity.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते राहौ स्वोच्चे मूलत्रिकोणगे ।
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ॥ ९ ॥
तत्काले राजसम्मानं गृहभूम्यादिलाभकृत् ।
कलत्रपुत्रलाभः स्याद्वव्यवसायात्फलाधिकम् ॥ १० ॥
गंगास्नानफलावाप्तिं विदेशगमनं तथा ॥ १०½ ॥
9-10½ : Rahu being in exaltation or Moolatrikona sign, in conjunction or aspect with the benefic planets or in Angles, Trines or in the 11th house will provide results in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars like, felicitation from the king, gain of mansion or land, marriage or child birth, success in the business or bath in Ganges (holy river) and possibility of foreign visit.
तथाऽष्टमव्यये राहौ पापयुक्तेऽथे वीक्षिते ॥ ११ ॥
चौराहिव्रणभीतिश्च चतुष्पाज्जीवनाशनम् ।
वातपित्तरुजो भीतिः कारागृहनिवेशनम् ॥ १२ ॥
धनस्थानगते राहौ धननाशं महद्भयम् ।
सप्तमस्थानगे वाऽपि ह्यपमृत्युभयं महत् ॥ १३ ॥
नागपूजां प्रकुर्वीत देवब्राह्मणभोजनम् ।
मृत्युञ्जयजपं कुर्यादायुरारोग्यलब्धये ॥ १४ ॥
11-14 : If Rahu is posited in the 8th or the 12th house or combined with or aspected by the malefic planets, in the Antardasa of Rahu of Mahadasa of Mars, will cause danger of theft, snake bite, injury, loss of animals, fear of gastric or bile diseases, imprisonment etc.
Rahu, if placed in the 2nd house, loss of wealth and great fear and in the 7th house, untimely death will take place. Worship of Naga Deva (God of Serpents), food to Brahmins, recitation (Japa) of Mrityunjaya Mantaras will ward off the evil affects and provide a sound health.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते जीवे त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
लाभे वा धनसंयुक्ते तुङांशे स्वांशगेऽपि वा ॥ १५ ॥
सत्कीर्ती राजसम्मानं धनधान्यस्य वृद्धिकृत् ।
गृहे कल्याणसम्पत्तिर्दारपुत्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ १६ ॥
15-16: If Jupiter is posited in Angles, Trines, or in the 11th, the 2nd house, or in the sign of exaltation, own sign or in own Navamsa, the results of the Antardasa of Jupiter of the Mahadasa of Mars, will give great felicity, respect from the king, accretion of wealth and food grains, welfare and prosperity at home, marriage and child birth etc.
दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ।
भाग्यकर्माधिपैर्युक्ते वाहनाधिपसंयुते ॥ १७ ॥
लग्नाधिपसमायुक्ते शुभांशे शुभवर्गगे ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च गृहे कल्याणसम्पदः ॥ १८ ॥
देहारोग्यं महत्कीर्तिगृहे गोकुलसंग्रहः ।
चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभः स्याद्वव्यवसायात्फलाधिकम् ॥ १९ ॥
कलत्रपुत्रसौख्यं च राजसम्मानवैभवम् ॥ १९½ ॥
17-19½ : If the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) has the Jupiter posited at an Angle, Trine, or 11th position and having the conjunction of the lords of the 9th, the 10th, the 4th or the Ascendant and has benefic Navamsa or other Vargas (Divisions), Jupiter in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars, will bring enhancement of land and property, happiness and welfare at home, sound health, great fame and acquisition of more cows (cattle); profit in animals and business; deep affection of wife and children, king's felicitation etc.
षष्ठाऽष्टमव्यये जीवे नीचे वास्तंगते सति ॥ २० ॥
पापग्रहेण संयुक्ते दृष्टे वा दुर्बले सति ।
चौराहिनृपभीतिश्च पित्तरोगादिसम्भवम् ॥ २१ ॥
प्रेतबाधा भृत्यनाशः सोदराणां विनाशनम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युज्वरादिकम् ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्त्रकं जपेत् ॥ २२ ॥
20-22 : If Jupiter is posited in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa or being in the sign of debilitation or combust and get conjuncted with or aspected by the malefic planets or devoid of strength, during the Antardasa of Jupiter, in the Mahadasa of Mars, there will be fear of serpent, the king or theft, possibility of the eruption of biles disease; obstacles in love affairs. Loss of Job and brothers. Should Jupiter be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, untimely death, fever etc., may be caused. To alleviate the adverse effects, recitation of Lord Shiva Sahastranama be observed.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे स्वर्क्षे केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
मूलत्रिकोणकेन्द्रे वा तुङांशे स्वांगे सति ॥ २३ ॥
लग्नाधिपतिना वापि शुभदृष्टियुतेऽसिते ।
राज्यसौख्यं यशोवृद्धिः स्वग्रामे धान्यवृद्धिकृत् ॥ २४ ॥
पुत्रपौत्रसमायुक्तो गृहे गोधनसंग्रहः ।
स्ववारे राजसम्मानं स्वमासे पुत्रवृद्धिकृत् ॥ २५ ॥
23-25: If Saturn is posited in own sign, Angles or Trines, Moolatrikona House, exalted sign or in own Navamsa and in conjunction with or aspected by the lord of the Ascendant or of benefic signs, the Antardasa of Saturn in the Mahadasa of Mars will produce results like, pleasure of the king, boost in fame, accretion of food grain in storage, comforts from son or grand son, accumulation of cattle, felicitation from the king on saturday and child birth in the month of Saturn.
नीचादिक्षेत्रगे मन्दे तथाऽष्टव्ययराशिगे ।
म्लेच्छवर्गप्रभुभये धनधान्यादिनाशनम् ॥ २६ ॥
निगडे बन्धनं व्याधिरत्ने क्षेत्रनाशकृत् ॥ २६½ ॥
Verse 26½26-26½: Saturn's position the debilitation or in the 8th or the 12th house will cause danger from a barbarian foreign king, destruction of wealth and agricultural produce, captivity with fetters, eruption of disease etc., in its Antardasa. In the last part of the Dasa, there will be loss of the agricultural land.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु पापयुक्ते महद्भयम् ॥ २७ ॥
धननाशश्च सञ्चारे राजद्वेषो मनोव्यथा ।
चौराग्निनृपपीडा च सहोदरविनाशनम् ॥ २८ ॥
बन्धुद्वेषः प्रमादैश्च जीवहानिश्च जायते ।
अकस्माच्च मृतेर्भीतिः पुत्रदारादिपीडनम् ॥ २९ ॥
कारागृहादिभीतिश्च राजदण्डो महाद्भयम् ॥ २९½ ॥
27-29½: If the Saturn is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house and conjuncted with the malefic planets, the result will be, exceeding fear, loss of wealth in travelling, allegations from the king, mental agony, theft and fire hazards, persecution by the king, loss of brothers (co-born), conflicts with friends, lethargy, perishing of animals, fear of unnatural death, distress to wife and children, danger of imprisonment, great fear of conviction by the king etc., in the Antardasa of Saturn of the Mahadasa of Mars.
दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे लाभस्थे वा त्रिकोणगे ॥ ३० ॥
विदेशयानं लभते दुष्कीर्तिर्विविधा तथा ।
पापकर्मरतो नित्यं बहुजीवादिहिंसकः ॥ ३१ ॥
विक्रयः क्षेत्रहानिश्च स्थानभ्रंशो मनोव्यथा ।
रणे पराजयश्चैव मूत्रकृच्छान्महद्भयम् ॥ ३२ ॥
30-32 : Position of Saturn at Angle, Trine, the 11th or the 5th house from the lord of Mahadasa will produce foreign visits, ill repute, indulgence in the wicked act everyday, violence against living beings, loss in the sale of land, change of place, grief at heart defeat, danger of urinary disease etc.
दायेशादथ रन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
तद्भुक्तौ मरणं ज्ञेयं नृपचौरादिपीडनम् ॥ ३३ ॥
वातपीडा च शूलादिज्ञातिशत्रुभयं भवेत् ॥ ३४ ॥
तद्योषपरिहारार्थ मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
ततः सुखमवाप्नोति शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ३५ ॥
33-35: From the lord of the Mahadasa, if Saturn is placed at the 8th or the 12th house and get conjunct with the malefic planets, its Antardasa will cause death, damage inflicted through theft and the king etc., disease of gastric (वात), shooting stomach pains, danger from family and enemies. To alleviate the malefic effects, 'Japa' (recitation) of Mrityunjaya be undertaken and with the blessings of Lord Shiva happiness will prevail.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
सत्कथाश्चाऽजपादानं धर्मबुद्धिर्महद्यशः ॥ ३६ ॥
नीतिमार्गप्रसङश्च नित्यं मिष्टान्नभोजनम् ।
वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिराजकर्म सुखानि च ॥ ३७ ॥
कृषिकर्मफले सिद्धिर्वारणाम्बरभूषणम् ॥ ३७½ ॥
36-37½ : If Mercury is posited at angles or Trines from the Ascendant, during the Antardasa of Mercury in the Mahadasa of Mars, the results will be, listening to religious discourses, Ajpajapa Japa(अजपाजप) (vtikti) (perpetual recitation of mantra in heart), charity religious thinkings; very high reputation; leading life with moral values; consumption of food with sweet every day; acquisition of conveyance, clothes, animal; enjoyment of political power; success in the agricultural field, procurement of elephant (vehicle like limousine), ornaments etc.
नीचे वास्तङते वापि षष्ठाष्टव्ययगेऽपि वा ॥ ३८ ॥
हृद्रोगं मानहानिश्च निगडं बन्धुनाशनम् ।
दारपुत्रार्थनाशः स्याच्चतुष्पाज्जीवनाशनम् ॥ ३९ ॥
38-39 : If Mercury is in the sign of debilitation or combust or in Trik houses (6,8,12), it will cause heart disease, disrepute, imprisonment with fetters, destruction of co-borns, loss of wife, children; dissipation of wealth, animals etc.
दशाधिपेन संयुक्ते शत्रुवृद्धिर्महद्भयम् ।
विदेशगमनं चैव नानारोगास्तथैव च ॥ ४० ॥
राजद्वारे विरोधश्च कलहः स्वजनैरपि ॥ ४० ½ ॥
Verse 40½40-40½ : Conjunction of Mercury with the lord of the Mahadasa will bring additionality in the enemies; greater amount of fear, foreign travels; assorted diseases; disputes with friends etc.
द्रायेशात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणे वा स्वोच्चे युक्तार्थलाभकृत् ॥ ४१ ॥
अनेकधननाथत्वं राजसम्मानमेव च ।
भूपालयोगं कुरुते धनाम्बरविभूषणम् ॥ ४२ ॥
भूरिवाद्यमृदंगादि सेनापत्यं महत्सुखम् ।
विद्या - विनोदविमला वस्त्रवाहनभूषणम् ॥ ४३ ॥
दारपुत्रादिविभवं गृहे लक्ष्मी: कटाक्षकृत् ॥ ४३½ ॥
41-43½ : Placement of Mercury at Angles, Trines, from the Mahadasa's lord or in own sign will render gain of wealth, ownership of different types of assets, felicitation from the king. In the event of Rajayoga, acquisition of wealth, clothes, ornaments; abundant musical instruments, post of commander in the Army, immoderate enjoyment, education, entertainment and manifestation, comforts of wife, children etc., and blessings of Goddess Laxami.
दायेशात्षष्ठरिःफस्थे रन्ध्रे वा पापसंयुते ॥ ४४ ॥
तद्दाये मानहानिः स्यात्क्रूरबुद्धिस्तु क्रूरवाक् ।
चौराग्निनृपपीडा च मार्गे दस्युभयादिकम् ॥ ४५ ॥
अकस्मात्कलहश्चैव बुधभुक्तौ न संशयः ॥ ४५½ ॥
44-45½ : Position of Mercury in the Trik houses (6/8/12), from the lord of the Mahadasa and having conjunction with malefic planets, its Antardasa will undoubtedly cause disrepute, crookedness, wicked talks, damage through thieves, fire, king, danger from bandits enroute, calamities etc. types of results.
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु महाव्याधिर्भयङरः ॥ ४६ ॥
अश्वदानं प्रकुर्वीत विष्णोर्नामसहस्रकम् ।
सर्वसम्पत्प्रदं विप्र ! सर्वारिष्टप्रशान्तये ॥ ४७ ॥
46-47: If Mercury is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, in its Antardasa a serious disease, with grave effects will be caused. For alleviating all kinds of afflictions, donation of horses in charity and recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama, O-Brahmin, should be undertaken with all humbleness.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते केतौ त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
दुश्चिक्ये लाभगे वाऽपि शुभयुक्ते शुभेक्षिते ॥ ४८ ॥
राजानुग्रहशान्तिश्च बहुसौख्यं धनागमः ।
किञ्चित्फलं दशादौ तु भूलाभः पुत्रलाभकृत् ॥ ४९ ॥
राजसंलाभकार्याणि चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभकृत् ॥ ४९½ ॥
48-49½ : If Ketu is posited in Angle, Trine, the 3rd or the 11th house from the Ascendant and in conjunction with the benefic planets, in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars, it will deliver the results, namely; peace and comforts with the blessings of the king, accretion of wealth, less comforts in beginning (more in the end of the Dasa) acquisition of land, birth of a child, endowment of authority in the government work and gain of animals.
योगकारकसंस्थाने बलवीर्यसमन्विते ॥ ५० ॥
पुत्रलाभो यशोवृद्धिर्गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ।
भृत्यवर्गधनप्राप्तिः सेनापत्यं महात्सुखम् ॥ ५१ ॥
भूपालमित्रं कुरुते यागाम्बरादिभूषणम् ॥ ५१½ ॥
50-51½ : In the Antardasa of a strong Yogkaraka Ketu, there will be birth of a child, improvement in the reputation, blessings of Goddess Laxami at home (bestowal of wealth), gain of wealth through employees, conferment of the post of commander in the army; great happiness; acquaintance with the king, completion of oblation of sacred rites (यज्ञ); benefit of clothes and ornaments.
दायेशात्षष्ठरःफस्थे रन्ध्रे वा पापसंयुते ॥ ५२ ॥
कलहो दन्तरोगश्च चौरव्याघ्रादिपीडनम् ।
ज्वरातिसार - कुष्ठादि-दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ५३ ॥
द्वितीयसप्तमस्थाने देहे व्याधिर्भविष्यति ।
अपमानमनस्तापौ धनधान्यादिप्रच्युतिम् ॥ ५४ ॥
52-54 : Placement of Ketu duly conjunct with the malefic planets at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars), there will be quarrels, dental problem, trouble through thief, lion etc., fever, dysentery, arthritis, bickering with wife and children etc. If Ketu is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house from the Ascendant, mental agony, destruction of wealth and food grains will be caused.
कुजस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वाऽपिशुभस्थानाधिपेऽथवा ॥ ५५ ॥
राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं गजाश्वाम्बरभूषणम् ।
लग्नाधिपेन सम्बन्धे पुत्रदारादिवर्धनम् ॥ ५६ ॥
आयुषो वृद्धिरैश्वर्यं भाग्यवृद्धिसुखं भवेत् ॥ ५६½ ॥
55-56½ : If Venus is placed in Angles, Trines, in the 11th house, in the sign of exaltation or own sign or having the lordship of auspicious houses, its Antardasa during the Mahadasa of Mars will attribute benefit from the king, immoderate happiness; acquisition of elephant, horses, clothes, ornaments. Should Venus has any connection with the Ascendant, comforts from wife and birth of child, accretion in longevity, plentiful of luxuries, improvement in the fortune or happiness will be the results of its Antardasa.

तत्काले श्रियमाप्नोति पुत्रलाभं महत्सुखम् ।
स्वप्रभोश्च महत्सौख्यं धनवस्त्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ ५८ ॥

भुक्त्यन्ते फलमाप्नोति गीतनृत्यादिलाभदम् ॥ ५९ ॥
पुण्यतीर्थस्नानलाभं कर्माधिपसमन्विते ।
पुण्यधर्मदयाकूपतडागं कारयिष्याति ॥ ६० ॥
57-60 : Position of Venus from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) at Angle, Trine, the 11th house or the 2nd house will produce acquition of wealth, child, excessive happiness, pleasure of one's lord (employer), clothes; gain of village with the blessings of the king, profit from the land etc., during its Antardasa. 61-62 : Placement of Venus in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) or conjunction with the malefic planets will bring excessive grief, bodily pains, loss of wealth, danger from the thieves or the king, conflicts at home, distress from wife and children, destruction of animals like cow, buffalo (female) etc.

63 : If Venus is posited in the 12th or the 7th house bodily pain is observed. For the mitigation of the ill effects, if cow, buffalo (female) etc., are given in charity, it will provide good longevity and sound health.

64-66 : If in the Mahadasa of Mars and the Antardasa of the Sun is operating and if the Sun is in exaltation, own sign, Moolatrikona, Angles, Trines or in the 11th house and having the conjunction of the lords of the 9th and the 10th houses; vehicle, high reputation, birth of a child are attained. In this Antardasa, wealth, food grains, welfare and prosperity, good health, undaunted courage, felicitation by the king, exessive happiness, exceedingly successful business, meeting with the king in the foreign land etc., will be the results.

70-73 : During the Mahadasa of Mars and the Antardasa of the Moon, if the Moon is in the sign of exaltation, own sign or in Angles in conjunction with the lords of the 9th, the 4th or the 10th house or the Ascendant lord, it will give fragrance, rosary of the flowers or clothes; will undertake pious deeds, construction of pond, cow shed etc., will have festivity of marriage, happiness from wife and children, co-operation from the parents, blessings of Goddess Laxami (wealth), completion of ambitious tasks with the blessings of the king etc. If it is full Moon, the result will be total and in case of weak Moon, diminishing results will be experienced.

Testing a method on material you did not derive it from is the difference between a pattern and a coincidence. This is the honest epistemic position and it is worth stating baldly. Retrospective agreement is weak evidence, because a chart contains enough factors that some account can usually be built for any event. It is not worthless — a retrospective that fails is informative, and one that requires no straining is better than one that requires a great deal. But the strong test is prospective, and Week 10's clinic and Week 13's blind practice are where you get it.

Which is worth saying because it means Week 9 is not a new subject. It is Week 8 at higher magnification, in the same way that a varga is a rashi chart at higher magnification. That structural echo is not accidental — the whole system is built out of a small number of moves repeated at different scales.

The first real retrospective exercise of the course. Chart C has birth-certificate data and a well-dated public record, which is the combination that makes this possible at all — and the order in which you do the steps is the entire point.
- Take the documented event of December 1997. Do not look at the daśā yet. First, write the natal promise: what does this chart show about visibility, recognition and public prominence? Use the 10th house, its lord, the 1st, the 11th, the Ātmakāraka, and any relevant yoga. Half a page.
- Now identify the Mahādaśā and Antardaśā running at that date.
- For each of the two lords, run the five factors: dignity, house from the Lagna, position from the Mahādaśā lord, lordships, conjunctions and aspects.
- Write the timing statement: given what this chart promised, does this period plausibly activate it? Cite the specific factors.
- Now the honest question, and write the answer down. Would you have said this period could deliver that, if you had not known the event? Be specific about which parts of your reading you are confident you would have produced blind and which you would not.
- Repeat the whole sequence for the event of February 2016, which falls at the very start of a new Mahādaśā.

Trace it back: the boundary derives from the Mahādaśā start, which derives from the balance at birth, which derives from the Moon's exact position. Even with a birth time good to the minute, the year-length convention alone shifts boundaries. Treating a two-week gap as meaningful is reading precision into a figure that does not carry it.

The exercise is not primarily a test of the system; it is practice at running natal promise → Mahādaśā → Antardaśā → activated themes in the right order, on real data, with real dates. The reasoning has to become fluent before the blind work in Weeks 10 and 13 is possible at all. Treating retrospectives as confirmation is the mistake; treating them as rehearsal is the use.
