64. RESULTS OF THE SOOKSHMANTAR DASAS IN THE PRATYANTAR DASA OF PLANETS

गुण्या स्वस्वदशावर्षैः प्रत्यन्तरदशामितिः ।
खार्क्रैर्भक्ता पृथग्लब्धिः सूक्ष्मान्तरदशा भवेत् ॥ १ ॥

Verse 1

1 : The Pratyantardasa years of a planet be multiplied by the Mahadasa years of each planet separately and the product then be divided by 120 (total of the Mahadasa of all planets), the resultant will indicate the Sookshmadasa of each planet.

Let us take up an example which will make the method of computation quite clear.

Example: 83 : To find out Sookshmadasa of the Pratyantardasa of the Moon in the Antardasa of the Sun and in the Mahadasa of Jupiter.

Similarly, under the same Pratyantardasa of the Moon, the Sookshmadasas of the other planets be worked out, keeping the sequence of the dasas under Vimshottari Dasa system.

Sookshmadasa of Mars (Mahadasa = 7 years)

These Sookshmadasas of the Pratyantardasa of the Moon in the Antardasa of the Sun and the Mahadasa of Jupiter could be shown in a tabular form both in terms of Ghatis and hours etc.

2 : Sookshmadasas of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Desertion of land (place of stay), apprehension of death, destruction of place, defamation etc.

देवब्राह्मणभक्तिश्च नित्यकर्मरतस्तथा ।
सुप्रीतिः सर्वमित्रैश्च रवेः सूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ ३ ॥

Verse 3

3 : Sookshmadasa of the MOON in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Devoutness to deity and Brahmins, inclination towards routine work, affection towards friends etc.

क्रूरकर्मरतिस्तिग्मशत्रुभिः परिपीडनम् ।
रक्तस्त्रावादिरोगश्च रवे: सूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ ४ ॥

Verse 4

4 : Sookshmadasa of MARS in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN Inclination towards sinful deeds, distress on account of ruthless enemies etc.

चौराग्निविषभीतिश्च रणे भंग: पराजयः ।
दानधर्मादिहीनश्च रवेः सूक्ष्मगते ह्यगौ ॥ ५ ॥

Verse 5

5 : Sookshmadasa of RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN Danger from thieves, fire and poison, breaking of royal emblem (umbrella) in the battle to indicate (defeat), indifference towards pious deeds like religion, charity etc.

नृपसत्कारराजाई: सेवकै परिपूजितः ।
राजचक्षुर्गतः शान्तः सूर्यसूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ ६ ॥

Verse 6

6 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Felicitation from the king, acclamation by the king's administrators (Government officials), blessings of the King. (authorties), solace.

चौर्य साहसकर्मार्थ देवब्राह्मणपीडनम् ।
स्थानच्युतिं मनोदुखं रखेः सूक्ष्मगते शनौ ॥ ७ ॥

Verse 7

7 : Sookshmadasa of SATURN in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Intimidation of the pious persons and Brahamins by the native through theft and other bold actions, desertion of place, mental anguish.

दिव्याम्बरादिलब्धिश्च दिव्यस्त्रीपरिभोगिता ।
अचिन्तितार्थसिद्धिश्च रवेः सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ ८ ॥

Verse 8

8 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Acquisition of exotic garments, companionship (sexual connections) with beautiful woman, success at work without paying any attention.

गुरुतार्थविनाशश्च भृत्यदारभवस्तथा ।
क्वचित्सेवकसम्बन्धो रवेः सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ ९ ॥

Verse 9

9 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of the SUNGlorification through wife and servants, dissipation of wealth, good relations with the employees (servants) occasionally.

पुत्रमित्रकलत्रादिसौख्यसम्पन्न एव च ।
नानाविधा च सम्पत्ती रवे: सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ १० ॥

Verse 10

10 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of the SUN: Comforts from children, friends, wife etc. and acquisition of property of different nature.

Results of the Sookshmadasa of the Moon etc. planets in the Pratyantardasa of the Moon :

भूषणं भूमिलाभश्च सम्मानं नृपपूजनम् ।
तामसत्त्वं गुरुत्वं च निजसूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ ११ ॥

Verse 11

11 : Sookshmadasa of the Moon in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON : Gain of Jewellery and land, respectability, blessings of the king, Tamaska' nature (तामस प्रवृत्ति), increase of fame etc.

दुःखं शत्रुविरोधश्च कुक्षिरोगः पितुर्मृतिः ।
वातपित्तकफोद्रेक: विधोः सूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ १२ ॥

Verse 12

12 : Sookshmadasa of MARS in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON: Sorrows, confrontation with the enemies, ailments related to abdomen, demise of father, excess of all the three humours viz., wind, bile and phlegm (Vaata, Pitta and Kapha) etc.

क्रोधनं मित्रबन्धूनां देशत्यागो धनक्षयः ।
विदेशान्निगडप्राप्तिर्विधोः सूक्ष्मगतेऽप्यगौ ॥ १३ ॥

Verse 13

13 : Sookshmadasa of the RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON: Friends and co-borns will get furious with the native, desertion of the country (self-exile), destruction of wealth, imprisonment in the foreign land etc.

छत्रचामरसंयुक्तं वैभवं पुत्रसम्पदः ।
सर्वत्र सुखमाप्नोति विधोः सूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ १४ ॥

Verse 14

14 : Sookshmadasa of the JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON Grandeur of Royal emblem like canopy type Umbrella and Chamar (चामर) etc., birth of a child (son), opulence and luxuries, wholesome comforts etc.

राजोपद्रवभीतिः स्याद्व्यवहारे अनक्षयः ।
चौरत्वं विप्रभीतिश्च विधोः सूक्ष्मगते शनौ ॥ १५ ॥

Verse 15

15 : Sookshmadasa of the SATURN in the Pratyantar Dasa of the MOON: Apprehension of revolt against the King, sinking of wealth in business, fear from thieves and Brahmins etc.

राजमानं वस्तुलाभो विदेशाद्वाहनादिकम् ।
पुत्रपौत्रसमृद्धिश्च विधोः सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ १६ ॥

Verse 16

16 : Sookshmadasa of the MERCURY in the Pratyantar Dasa of the MOON: Felicitation from the king, material gains, vehicle (conveyance) from a foreign country, gain of son, grandson etc.

आत्मनो वृत्तिहननं सस्यश्रुंगवृषादिभिः ।
अग्निसूर्यादिभीतिः स्याद्विधो: सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ १७ ॥

Verse 17

17 : Sookshma Dasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON Loss of earnings (livelihood) in the transactions of food grains, cows, buffaloes, bulls etc., danger from fire, the sun etc.

विवाहो भूमिलाभश्च वस्त्राभरणवैभवम् ।
राज्यलाभश्च कीर्तिश्च विधोः सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ १८ ॥

Verse 18

18 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON Marriage, acquisition of land, gain of clothes, jewellery, abundant luxuries, kingship, fame etc.

क्लेशात्क्लेश: कार्यनाशः पशुधान्यधनक्षयः ।
गात्रवैषम्यभूमिश्च विधोः सूक्ष्मगते रवौ ॥ १९ ॥

Verse 19

19: Sookshmadasa of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of the MOON: Series of disputes, losses at work, destruction of animals, wealth and prosperity, general weakness in the body etc.

भूमिहानिर्मनः खेदो ह्यपस्मारी च बन्धयुक् ।
पुरक्षोभमनस्तापो निजसूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ २० ॥

Verse 20

20 : Sookshmadasa of MARS in the Pratyantardasa of MARS Depression due to loss of land, disease of epilepsy, imprisonment, mental anxiety etc.

अंगदोषो जनाद् भीतिः प्रमदावंशनाशनम् ।
वहिसर्पभयं घोरं भौमे सूक्ष्मगतेऽप्यही ॥ २१ ॥

Verse 21

21 : Sookshmadasa of RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of MARS: Bodily distress, apprehensive of public, destruction of wife and children, apprehension of danger from snake, fire and some dreadful accident etc.

देवपूजा-रतिश्चात्र मन्त्राभ्युत्थानतत्परः ।
लोके पूजा प्रमोदश्च भौमे सूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ २२ ॥

Verse 22

22 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of MARS: Devotion towards 'Devtas' (deities) performing sacred incantation (Mantras-मन्त्रा), admiration of the public, conferment of happiness etc.

बन्धनान्मुच्यते बद्धो धनधान्यपरिच्छदः ।
भृत्यार्थबहुल: श्रीमान् भौमे सूक्ष्मगते शनौ ॥ २३ ॥

Verse 23

23 : Sookshmadasa of SATURN in the Pratyantardasa of MARS Release from imprisonment, increase in wealth and prosperity, gain of wealth through servants (employees) and native becomes opulent.

वाहनं छत्रसंयुक्तं राज्यभोगपरं सुखम् ।
कासश्वासादिका पीडा भौमे सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ २४ ॥

Verse 24

24 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of MARS : Conveyance duly fitted with Royal Umbrella (छत्र), kingly comforts (majestic pleasures), asthamatic ailments.

परप्ररितबुद्धिश्च सर्वत्रापि च गर्हिता ।
अशुचि: सर्वकालेषु भौमे सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ २५ ॥

Verse 25

25 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of MARS: Native gets inspired by others, criticized by all, always remains unclean (filthy) etc.

इष्टस्त्रीभोगसम्पत्तिरिष्ट भोजनसंग्रहः ।
इष्टार्थस्यापि लाभश्च भौमे सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ २६ ॥

Verse 26

26 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of MARS: Companionship of desired woman (sexual connections), successful in acquiring desired property, food and wealth.

राजद्वेषो द्विजात्क्लेश कार्याभिप्रायवंचकः ।
लोकेऽपि निन्द्यतामेति भौमे सूक्ष्मगते रवौ ॥ २७ ॥

Verse 27

27 : Sookshmadasa of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of MARS Enmity or hatred towards the king, trouble from the Brahmins, unsuccessful in pursuits, criticism in public etc.

शुद्धत्वं धनसम्प्राप्तिर्देवब्राह्मणवत्सलः ।
व्याधिना परिभूयेत् भौमे सूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ २८ ॥

Verse 28

28 : Sookshmadasa of the MOON in the Pratyantardasa of MARS: Devoutness, gain of wealth, devotion towards 'Devtas' (deities) and Brahmins, relief (हार) from disease etc.

Results of the Sookshma Dasas of Rahu etc., planets in the Pratyantardasa of Rahu :

लोकोपद्रवबुद्धिश्च सर्वकार्ये मतिविभ्रमः ।
शून्यता चित्तदोष: स्यात् स्वीये सूक्ष्मगतेऽप्यगौ ॥ २९ ॥

Verse 29

29 : Sookshmadasa of RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Propensity to do harm to the public, showing imprudence in one's own work, impurity of mind etc.

दीर्घरोगी दरिद्रश्च सर्वेषां प्रियदर्शनः ।
दानधर्मरतः शस्तो राहोः सूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ ३० ॥

Verse 30

30 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU Chronic diseases and poverty but the native remains popular in public and gets devoted towards religion and charity.

कुमार्गात्कुत्सितोऽर्थश्च दुष्टश्च परसेवकः ।
असत्संगमतिर्मूढो राहो: सूक्ष्मगते शनौ ॥ ३१ ॥

Verse 31

31 : Sookshmadasa of SATURN in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Acquisition of wealth through wicked and illegal means, malicious nature, get cruel minded with the association and service of deceitful people.

स्त्रीसम्भोगमतिर्वाग्मी लोकसम्भावनावृतः ।
अन्नमिच्छंस्तनुग्लानी राहो: सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ ३२ ॥

Verse 32

32 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU Desirous of sextual connection with woman, growth in eloquent oration, power of moulding people to one's favour, physical distress due to lack of desired food grains etc.

माधुर्यं मानहानिश्च बन्धनं चाप्रमाकरम् ।
पारुष्यं जीवहानिश्च राहोः सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ ३३ ॥

Verse 33

33 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Politeness, disrepute, imprisonment, stone hearted, loss of public wealth etc.

बन्धनान्मुच्यते बद्ध: स्थानमानार्थसञ्चयः ।
कारणाद् द्रव्यलाभश्च राहो: सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ ३४ ॥

Verse 34

34 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU Release from the imprisonment, attainment of land and position, accumulation of wealth.

व्यक्तार्शो गुल्मरोगश्च क्रोधहानिस्तथैव च ।
वाहनादिसुखं सर्वं राहो: सूक्ष्मगते रवौ ॥ ३५ ॥

Verse 35

35 : Sookshmadasa of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Disease like piles and boils; mellow down of temperament, loss of conveyance etc.

मणिरत्नधनावाप्तिर्विद्योपासनशीलवान् ।
देवार्चनपरो भक्त्या राहोः सूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ ३६ ॥

Verse 36

36 : Sookshmadasa of the MOON in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Acquisition of gems (मणि) and other kind of wealth, dedication to education and gets deeply attached in worshipping deities, calmness etc.

निर्जितो जनविद्रावो जने क्रोधश्च बन्धनम् ।
चौर्यशीलरतिर्नित्यं राहो: सूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ ३७ ॥

Verse 37

37 : Sookshmadasa of MARS in the Pratyantardasa of RAHU: Defeat in war, animosity, imprisonment and tendency to theft (kleptomania).

शोकनाशो धनाधिक्यमग्निहोत्रं शिवार्चनम् ।
वाहनं छत्रसंयुक्तं स्वीये सूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ ३८ ॥

Verse 38

38 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER: End of sorrows, opulence of wealth, offering oblation into fire (होम), worship of lord Shiva, conveyance duly fitted with Royal umbrella (emblem) etc.

व्रतभंगो मनस्तापो विदेशे वसुनाशनम् ।
विरोधो बन्धुवर्गेश्च गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते शनौ ॥ ३९ ॥

Verse 39

39 : Sookshmadasa of SATURN in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER: Interruption in fastings, mental anguish, destruction of wealth in a foreign country, confrontation with co-borns.

विद्याबुद्धिविवृद्धिश्च ससम्मानं धनागमः ।
गृहे सर्वविधं सौख्यं गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ ४० ॥

Verse 40

40 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER: Growth of education and wisdom (mental faculty), gain of popularity due to richness, happiness at home.

ज्ञानं विभवपाण्डित्ये शास्त्रश्रोता शिवार्चनम् ।
अग्निहोत्रं गुरोर्भक्तिर्गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥४१ ॥

Verse 41

41 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER : knowledge, luxuries, scholarship, listening to religious discourses, worship of Lord Shiva, offering oblation into fire and adoration of preceptor etc.

रोगान्मुक्तिः सुखं भोगो धनधान्यसमागमः ।
पुत्रदारादिसौख्यं च गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ ४२ ॥

Verse 42

42 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER : Relief from ailments, cherishing the comforts, accretion of wealth and prosperity, pleasure of wife and children.

वातपित्तप्रकोपश्च श्लेष्मोद्रेकस्तु दारुणः ।
रसव्याधिकृतं शूलं गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते रवौ ॥ ४३ ॥

Verse 43

43 : Sookshmadasa of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER: Calamity of (all the three humours) wind, bile and phlegm (Vaata, Pitta and Kapha), severe pains due to aggrevation of phlegmatic diseases to a critical state.

छत्रचामरसंयुक्तं वैभवं पुत्रसम्पदः ।
नेत्रकुक्षिगता पीडा गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ ४४ ॥

Verse 44

44 : Sookshmadasa of the Moon in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER Majestic luxuries with Royal Umbrella (canopy type) and 'Chamar" (चामर), birth of a child, ailments of eyes and stomach.

स्त्रीजनाच्च विषोत्पत्तिर्बन्धनं च रुजोभयम् ।
देशान्तरगमो भ्रान्तिर्गुरोः सूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ ४५ ॥

Verse 45

45 : Sookshmadasa of the MARS in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER Attempt of poisoning by the wife, imprisonment, apprehension of contracting diseases, foreign travellings, digression, delusion etc.

व्याशिभिः परिभूतः स्याच्चौरैरपहृतं धनम् ।
सर्पवृश्चिकभीतिश्च गुरोः सूक्ष्मगतेऽप्यगौ ॥ ४६ ॥

Verse 46

46 : Sookshmadasa of the RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of JUPITER: Effect of the disease (partial or full), dislodgement of wealth through theft, danger from snake or scorpion etc.

धनहानिर्महाव्याधिः वात-पीडा कुलक्षयः ।

47 : Sookshmadasa of SATURN in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN Dissipation' of wealth, serious sickness, distress of rheumatic disease, disintegration of the family, compulsion of taking food separately, deep distress etc.

वाणिज्यवृत्तेर्लाभश्च विद्याविभवमेव च ।
स्त्रीलाभश्च महीप्राप्तिः शनेः सूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ ४८ ॥

Verse 48

48 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN; gain in business, growth in education and wealth, procuring a woman (wife) and land.

चौरोपद्रवकुष्ठादिवृत्तिक्षयविगुम्फनम् ।
सर्वांगपीडनं व्याधिः शनेः सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ ४९ ॥

Verse 49

49 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN: Riots by the thieves, disease of leprosy, decline in the earnings of livelihood, disease causing pains in all parts of the body.

ऐश्वर्यमायुधाभ्यासः पुत्रलाभोऽभिषेचनम् ।
आरोग्यं धनकामौ च शनेः सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ ५० ॥

Verse 50

50 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN: Copious luxuries (abundant wealth etc) battle exercise, birth of child, coronation, sound health, wealth and fulfillment of desire.

राजतेजोऽधिकारत्वं स्वगृहे जायते कलिः ।
किञ्चित्पीडा स्वदेहोत्या शनेः सूक्ष्मगते रवौ ॥ ५१ ॥

Verse 51

51: Sookshmadasa of the SUN in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN: Kingly radiance, authority, quarrel in the family, slight pains in the body.

स्फीतबुद्धिर्महारम्भो मन्दतेजा बहुव्ययः ।
स्त्रीपुत्रैश्च समं सौख्यं शनेः सूक्ष्मगते विधौ ॥ ५२ ॥

Verse 52

52 : Sookshmadasa of the MOON in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN: Gentle behaviour, commencement of a big venture, loss of peace, heavy expenditure, pleasure of wife and children.

तेजोहानिर्महोद्वेगो वहिमान्द्यं भ्रमः कलिः ।
वातपित्तकृता पीडा शनेः सूक्ष्मगते कुजे ॥ ५३ ॥

Verse 53

53 : Sookshmadasa of the MARS in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN : Loss of splendour, deep anxiety, inflammatory diseases, going astray, quarrel, ailments of wind (Vaata), bile (Pitta) and Phlegm (Kapha).

पितृमातृविनाशश्च मनोदुःखं गुरुव्ययम् ।
सर्वत्र विफलत्वं च शनेः सूक्ष्मगतेऽप्यहौ ॥ ५४ ॥

Verse 54

54 : Sookshmadasa of RAHU in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN Death of father and mother, mental distress, extremely heavy expenditure, failure in all works.

सन्मुद्राभोगसम्मानं धनधान्यविवर्द्धनम् ।
छत्रचामरसम्प्राप्तिः शनेः सूक्ष्मगते गुरौ ॥ ५५ ॥

Verse 55

55 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of SATURN: Circulation of gold coins, felicitation, increase in wealth and prosperity, conferment of Royal symbols like umbrella (canopy type, duly decorated) and 'Chamar' (चामर).

सौभाग्यं राजसम्मानं धनधान्यादिसम्पदः ।
सर्वेषां प्रियदर्शी च निजसूक्ष्मगते बुधे ॥ ५६ ॥

56 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of MERCURY: Conferment of glory by the king, gain of assets like wealth, foodgrains etc.

बालग्रहोग्निभीस्तापः स्त्रीगदोद्भवदोषभाक् ।
कुमार्गी कुत्सिताशी च बौधे सूक्ष्मगते ध्वजे ॥ ५७ ॥

Verse 57

57 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of MERCURY: Danger from fire etc, distress, ailment of wife, inclination towards wicked deeds, starving diet (meagre food) etc.

वाहनं धनसम्पत्तिर्जलजान्नार्थसम्भवः ।
शुभकीर्तिर्महाभोगो बौधे सूक्ष्मगते भृगौ ॥ ५८ ॥

Verse 58

58 : Sookshmadasa of VENUS in the Pratyantardasa of MERCURY : Vehicle, wealth, property, food stuff grown in water, high reputation, lavish entertainment etc.

71 : Sookshmadasa of JUPITER in the Pratyantardasa of KETU: Confrontation with enemies, gain of property, royal luxuries (unexpectedly), distress due to loss of animals and crops.

मृषा पीडा भवेत्क्षुद्रसुखोत्पत्तिश्च लङ्घनम् ।

81 : Sookshmadasa of MERCURY in the Pratyantardasa of VENUS Increase of property amongst the brothers (co-borns), accretion of wealth from business, pleasure of wife and children.

Verse 82

82 : Sookshmadasa of KETU in the Pratyantardasa of VENUS: Fire incident, deep distress, disease affecting face/mouth, eyes and forehead, loss of amassed wealth etc.

Pratyantardasa, Sookshmadasa is very helpful. For putting this Dasa, which is a sub-sub-sub period of major period, into practice, we need to precisely select the houses, lord of the houses significators and 'Yogakaraka' plantes in the nativity. Prior to citing an illustration in this respect, it would help in a great deal if some niceties and important factors relating to this Dasa are discussed over here.

Suppose we need to fix the time of occurance of a disease, the Ascendant and the 6th house are to be studied in greater detail. In the event of Pratyantardasa lord being the lord of the Ascendant and Sookshmadasa lord happened to be the lord of the 6th house, the health of the native will not be good. In the reverse situation, similar effects would also surface. Further, if perchance, the Antardasa also belongs to the lords of either of these houses, the intensity of affliction would be quite severe.

In case the native is desirous to know the precise time for the birth of his child, we are then required to take into account Antar, Prityantar and Sookshma Dasas and the lords of the 5th and the 9th houses and the respective significators viz., Jupiter and the Sun. For fixing the precise timing of the marriage the required ingredients would be the 7th house, lords of 7th and 12th houses (the 12th house signifies bed comforts), lord of the Ascendant and Venus as significator. The marriage will take place in the Antar, Pratyantar and Sookshma Dasa of the combination of these lords. Similarly, service or promotion will take place during the Antar, Pratyantar and Sookshma Dasas of the lords of the 10th, the 9th houses and significators Saturn, Jupiter etc.

In the same manner, the houses, the lords and the significators related to a particular event should carefully be selected so that timing of such event could precisely be drawn with the help of their Antar, Pratyantar and Sookshma Dasas. Incidentally, the Indian ephemerides (astronomical almanac) are not based on a sigular "Ayanamsa". The ephemerides (Panchangas) are compiled with varied 'Ayanamsas'. Therefore, some variations in the longitude of the Moon are bound to take place. Consequently, this would set in different balance of Dasas at the time of birth thereby, bringing dissimilarity in the subsequent Dasas. Therefore, before giving prediction, the horoscope should be rectified, on the basis of the past incidents of the native otherwise, timing of the events would go astray.

Let us discuss a few examples on Sookshma Dasa.

Data : Date of birth 14-11-1942; Place of birth 22.00 hrs. (IST)

Latitude, 28°-43' (N); Longitude, 77°-55' (E).

Balance of Dasa at birth, Moon 1 yr, 10 months, 10 days.

This birth chart pertains to an officer from Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S.). In this horoscope of Cancer Ascendant, Jupiter being the lord of the 6th and the 9th houses is placed in the Ascendant and is in its exalted sign and from there, casting its aspect on the 9th house. Similarly, the lord of the 10th Mars being posited in the 4th house throwing its aspect on the 10th house. The native got selected in the I.A.S. on 12-9-1968 and this event took place during the Mahadasa of Rahu and in the Antardasa of Mars, Pratyantardasa of Jupiter and Sookshmadasa of Mars which was operative between 10-9-1968 and 13-9-1968.

Data : Date of birth 10-10-1964; Time of birth 20-15 hrs. (IST) Place birth, Patiala (Punjab-India).

Balance of Dasa at birth, Mercury, 12 years, 1 month, 16 days:

This is a horoscope of a female who got married on 22-10 1990. At the time of marriage, the Mahadasa of Venus, Antardasa of Mars, Pratyantardasa of Venus and Sookshma Dasa also of Mars were running (from 21-10-1990 to 25-10-1990). In the instant horoscope, Mars is the lord of the 7th and the 12th houses and the

lord of the Ascendant is Venus. At the time of marriage, Venus was having Maha and Pratyantardasas while Mars had Antar and Sookshmadasas and the marriage was performed during these Dasas.

Data : Date of birth 10-12-1966, Time of birth 6-05 hrs (IST)

Latitude 28-43' (N); Longitude, 77°-55' (E).

Balance of Dasa: Jupiter 7 years, 9 months, 4 days.

This native met with an accident while travelling on a scooter and his one foot got crushed and also suffered a fracture. This event occured when both Mahadasa and Antardasa of Mercury were running. The Pratyantardasa was of Venus while Ketu had its Sookshmadasa from 22-7-1994 & 1-8-1994. Mercury which had its Antardasa is considered malefic for the Scorpio Ascendant because in this nativity, it owns the 8th and the 11th houses. The 11th house being the 6th from the 6th house does cause disease and accident. The significator of accident is Mars which with the ownership of the 6th house and the Ascendant is posited in the 11th house of Mercury. Therefore, Mercury being the dispositor of the significator of accident, got induced with its (Mars) prepense quality. Feet are represented by the 12th house whose lord is Venus which is under the aspect from Mars. Besides, Ketu is posited in the 12th house itself. This kind of disposition of the malefic planets, do set a pointer for a possible bodily distress during the combination of the Dasas. of there planets. The accident did take place in the Sookshmadasa of Ketu and Pratyantardasa of Venus.

However, all these incidents should also be analysed and confirmed through the transitory planets.

It may thus be seen that if someone is having an accurate time of birth and horoscope is correctly drawn and also properly rectified, it is possible to predict precise results.
