Week 11 — Ashtakavarga in Full, and Additional Classical Methods
Chapters 69 to 74 complete Ashtakavarga as a working system, ending at Sarvashtakavarga - in practice the most-used single output of the whole method. Chapters 75 and 76 add two further whole-chart instruments, and Chapter 77 delivers the Panchamahapurusha yogas, which Parashara gives a full chapter of their own.
What you should be able to do by the end
Produce and interpret a Sarvashtakavarga, and use it as a second opinion against the natal judgment you built in Weeks 3 to 7.
The reductions are where people give up on Ashtakavarga, because the arithmetic is fiddly and nobody explains what it is for. So: each reduction removes a source of double-counting, so that the number left standing actually means something. Understand that, work one planet through all three by hand once, and let software do the rest forever after.
The one thing you must be able to do unaided is read a Sarvashtakavarga table and say which houses in this chart are genuinely supported.
Then the week’s real exercise: compare that picture against the judgment you made back in Week 4. Where do they agree? Where do they conflict? What do you do when two valid instruments disagree? That question is the whole of practical astrology, and you now have two instruments good enough to disagree with each other.
