51. Results of Kalachakra Dasas

कथयाम्पथ विप्रेन्द्र ! कालचक्रदशाफलम् ।
तत्रादौ राशिनाथानां सूर्यादीनां फलं ब्रुवे ॥ १ ॥

रक्तपित्तादितो व्याधिं नृणामर्कफलं वदेत् ।
धनकीर्तिप्रजावृद्धि - वस्त्राभरणदः शशी ॥ २ ॥

ज्वरमाशु दिशेत् पैत्त्यं ग्रन्थिस्फोटं कुजस्तथा ।
प्रजानां च धनानां च सदा वृद्धिं बुधो दिशेत् ॥ ३ ॥

धनं कीर्ति प्रजावृद्धिं नानाभोगं बृहस्पतिः ।
विद्यावृद्धिर्विवाहश्च गृहं धान्यं भृगोः फलम् ॥ ४ ॥

तापाधिक्यं महद्दुःखं बन्धुनाशः शनेः फलम् ।
एवमर्कादियोगेन वदेद्राशिदशाफलम् ॥ ५ ॥

1-5: Maharishi Parasara said - O Vipra ! Now I perorate the results of the Kalachakra Dasas. To start with, the results of the lords of the signs Sun etc.; will be described. The Dasa of the sign occupied by the Sun gives diseases relating to blood and biles. The Dasa of sign occupied by the Moon will manifest wealth, fame, increase in children, clothes, precious ornaments etc. The Dasa of sign with Mars in it, produces fever, bile related diseases, arthritis, boils etc. The Dasa of the Mercury occupied sign will cause birth of children, good income etc. The Dasa of the sign tenanted by Jupiter, ushers goodwill and wealth, begets children, enjoyment in utilising the objects. The Dasa of sign with Venus in position, brings progress in the field of education, marriage, agriculture produce in a full measure. The sign's Dasa harbouring Saturn, results in obstacles, miseries and lot of children.

The Maharishi has narrated the results of the Dasas of the signs duly posited with a planet viz., Sun etc., but the Sage has not specified the results of such signs being Deha or Jeeva. It construes that no due consideration is to be given to Deha or Jeeva signs. The results described in the Shloka are rather too brief and cryptic in nature. As such the elaboration of these results is felt necessary.

The Dasa of the sign harbouring the Sun, brings about lot of problems and obstacles, the wealth get depleted, persecution by the enemies, lot of misunderstanding about the native creeps in the minds of the people which spoils his relationship with them. He suffers in the hands of influential persons. Possible reversions, humiliation, loss of prestige and reputation, disease, like blisters in the mouth, ear trouble, T.B etc., may also take place. Chances of loss of cattle and death of co-born will also be there.

In the Moon's tenanted sign's Dasa, public image gets exalted, and native will have nomination to a post in a social undertakings, good health, adorns costly garments, acquisition of precious ornaments etc. Besides, recognition from the government (authorities etc.), surge of intelligence, pilgrimages get manifested. Should this Dasa run in child hood, there is overall development of the child and the native gets protected against bad habits.

The Dasa of Mars tenanted sign, will cause high fever, dryness in the throat, will feel thirsty, fear of electric shock, danger of fire accident, theft etc.; conflicts with brothers or friends, death of brother, loss of wealth, litigation concerning land and property and losing the cases, possible reversion, indulgence in war, involvement in a criminal case etc., may also happen. The diseases like blisters in the mouth, piles, leopresy and getting into bad company and things like these get manifested. During this Dasa business will be of a mediocre level and get further declined and in case he starts new business that too will be of low level. This Dasa also results in small pox, biles related diseases, arthiritis, injuries, surgical operations, accidents, death from a fall, punishment from the king, government or controlling authorities.

In the Dasa of the sign posited with Mercury, the native plans out his business and attains good progress in his venture, gets supports from his friends, plausible achievements in the experiments, happiness of married life and children, acquaintances with bigwigs in the government and eminent personalities, possibility of award sponsered by the government, accretion of wealth, fame and conveyance etc., are the auspicious results. In this Dasa, consultancy service will be a profitabl business and will be particularly beneficial to the students and advocates.

The Dasa of the sign occupied by Jupiter will manifest influx of wealth through different sources which the native will convert into various assets. Native's reputation and excellence gets enhanced. Rise in position, happiness of wife and children, enjoys sound health, indulgence in social, religious and charitable works which gets him prominence. Native undertakes foreign travels and earns sumptuous profits in this period.

In the Dasa of Venus occupied sign, the native develops affectionate contacts with women, through which he get passionate happiness, women also get attracted towards native, acquires ornaments, wealth, vehicles, shows keen interests in fine-art, dance, music etc. Besides, there will be increase of fame and expansion of business activities. If the second sign of the dispositor of Venus, has Jupiter in it, in that event, the native will establish a magnificent women hermitage (Ashrama). He will have strong feelings towards the welfare of the women.

In the Saturn occupied sign's Dasa, the native gets excited over non agreement even on trivial issues. Lack of body alertness, physical derangement, loss of weight, death in family or natives own death, strong reaction of the medicines, loss of wealth and prestige and incidents concerning damage to house, loss of crops, cattle, business etc., may occur.

The astrological treatise Jataka Parijataka also contains the results of the Dasa of the signs occupied by Rahu and Ketu which are as follows :

The Dasa of sign duly occupied by Rahu creates distrubance in the mind, inculcates worries, wrath of enemies, trouble to freinds, punishment by the king and the possiblity of the paralytic attack.

In the Dasa of sign occupied by Ketu, pain of injury caused by fire, loss of blood from the body, poverty, loss of wealth, death of some friend, shifting of place etc., will be manifested.

The results of the Dasas in context with the Navamsas of the signs :

मेषे तु रक्तपीडा च वृषभे धान्यवर्द्धनम् ।
मिथुने ज्ञानसम्पन्नश्चान्द्रे धनपतिर्भवेत् ॥ ६ ॥

सूर्यर्क्ष शत्रुबाधा च कन्या स्त्रीणां च नाशनम् ।
तालिके राजमन्त्रित्वं वृश्चिके मरणं भवेत् ॥ ७ ॥

अर्थलाभो भवेच्चापे मेषस्य नवभागके ।

6-7½ : Kalachakra Dasa of Aries in Aries-Navamsa, sufferings from the blood disease; in Taurus - Navamsa, accretion of wealth and agriculture produce; in Gemini-Navamsa, growth in intelligence, education; in Cancer-Navamsa, the native becomes wealthy; in Leo-Navamsa, trouble from the enemies; in Virgo Navamsa, death of wife; in Libra-Navamsa, native acquires ministerial position; in Scorpio-Navamsa, possibility of death; in Sagittarius Navama, gains in income. These are the kind of results felt in the Dasa of nine Navamsas or quarters of Aries sign.

Cancer-Navamsa in the Aries Kalachakra Dasa makes the native wealthy, this is what revealed by the Sage. These results are more pronounced in the horoscope of the ordinary rich persons and it does not bring much change for an already wealthy man. The position of Saturn in Aries indicates that the native was once greatly unsuccessful in his business. In the Sun's (Leo) Navamsa, enemies create hindrances but these effects are minimal although some differences are seemingly noticed. However, professional rivalries and ego conflicts are observed.

Virgo-Navamsa of Aries Dasa indicates disease to any female member of the family and she may not necessarily be the wife of the native. The possibility of death in the Scorpio-Navamsa will be in the event of presence or aspect of malefic planets in Aries and Scorpio signs. Otherwise effects will be limited to injury or body ache.

In the Aries Dasa of Sagittarius Navamsa, native builds up his good will and is able to get the required credit. Through these loans, he earns profits in his business or venture.

मकरे पापकर्माणि कुम्भे वाणिज्यमेव च ॥ ८ ॥

8-10: Kalachakra Dasa of Taurus: In Capricorn - Navamsa, inclination towards sinful acts; in Aquarius-Navamsa, change in business; in Pisces-Navamsa, success in all works; in Scorpio Navamsa danger from fire; in Libra Navamsa, royal recognition; in Virgo-Navamsa, increase of enemies: in Cancer-Navamsa, physical pains, stress to wife; in Leo Navamsa, eye disease and in Gemini Navamsa, obstacles in the field of livelihood. These are the results of Navamsa signs of the Dasa of Taurus sign.

In the Scorpio-Navamsa of Taurus Dasa, although the danger from the direct fire is rarely felt, the contact of the material duly energised by fire or power may inflict injury to the body. However, carelessly handling of the electricity, may result in a devastating fire accident. During the Dasa of Libra-Navamsa, on account of some recognition from the king (Government etc.) the position of the native in the society gets glorified. These attainments are the results of special work done by him. Virgo Navamsa brings about enmity due to some kind of misunderstandings.

In the Dasa of Cancer Navamsa, the wife of the native suffers from physical ailments and most of his time is spent in her treatment and all the members of the family have also to bear the brunt. In this period, there is possibility of epidemic amidst animals (specially mammals). During the period of Leo-Navamsa, apart from eye disease, throat, liver, pancreas etc. are also get affected. This is what generally observed. In Gemini-Navamsa, the native is not able to satisfy his customers. Infact, he indulges in wrong arguments with the customers and does not accept his mistakes which will cause annoyance amongst the customers.

मिथुने सुखमाप्नोति मिथुनस्य नवांशके ।

11-12½ : Kalachakra Dasa of Gemini: In Taurus-Navamsa, gain of wealth; Aries-Navamsa, fever disease; Pisces-Navamsa, affection with maternal uncle; Aquarius-Navamsa, inrease of enemies; Capricon-Navamsa, loss through thefts; Sagittarius Navamsa, accumulation of weapons; Aries-Navamsa, injury through weapons; Taurus-Navamsa, conflicts; Gemini Navamsa, happiness. These are the results of the Dasas of the Navamsas of Gemini sign Kalachakra Dasa.

In the Taurus-Navamsas in the Gemini Kalachakra Dasa whatever wealth is acquired that comes from foreign land and this becomes a perennial source of income which leads to the accumulation of wealth. In Aries-Navamsa, there is intense body pain accompanied by high fever which results in small pox. In case there are other afflictions to Gemini sign, the intensity of small-pox will be high and the native experiences severe pains and headache.

During the period of Pisces-Navamsa, the native attains business relationship with his maternal uncle and this relation will be on the basis of faith and affection. In the period of Aquarius-Navamsa, on account of secret activities of the enemies, hindrance are caused in the progress. As a result of these impediments, blames are levelled against the native which leaves lasting effect on him. In the Capricorn-Navamsa, precious house hold goods, money, important documents etc., get destroyed by white ants. Besides, these things may also get damaged in some other ways. If Jupiter and Mars are posited in Gemini, adverse situations like punishment from the authorities, income tax scrutiny, litigation etc., will be created.

In the period of Sagittarius-Navamsa, the expression of accumulation of arms and weapons will be with the intention of doing business in these items and not due to any kind of danger from the enemies. The persons who are in the trade of arms and ammunition, these dispositions in their horoscopes are very well pronounced. In the Aries Navamsa, injuries due to weapons are generally noticed. These injuries will be on the many parts of the body. There will be repetition of these types of incidents.

In Taurus-Navamsa, family quarrels and conflicts will be quite evident. The divisions of the property between the brothers could be one of the reasons for such conflicts and in this process, the native suffers losses. During the Gemini-Navamsa, environment of co-operation will exist. Success in ventures so also the plan of developments etc., will take place. The native will create his own niche in the society. If Gemini is occupied by Mars, one gets involved in the civil suits and if Mars has the aspect of Jupiter, such suits would result in his favour.

कर्कटे संकटप्राप्तिः सिंहे राजप्रकोपकृत् ॥ १३ ॥

कन्यायां भ्रातृपूजा व तौलिके प्रियकृन्नरः ।
वृश्चिके पितृबाधा स्यात् चापे ज्ञानधनोदयः ॥ १४ ॥

मीने च सुखसम्पत्तिः कर्कटस्य नवांशके ॥ १५ ॥

13-15: Kalachakra Dasa of Cancer - In Cancer-Navamsa, grave disaster; in Leo-Navamsa, wrath from the king; in Virgo Navamsa, deep regards for co-born; in Libra-Navamsa, benefaction; in Scorpio-Navamsa, trouble to father; in Sagittarius-Navamsa, acquisition of wealth and education; in Capricorn-Navamsa, danger from water; in Aquarius-Navamsa, accretion of food grains; and in Pisces-Navamsa, happiness, growth in wealth etc. These are the results of the Navamsa signs of Cancer Kalachakra Dasa.

In the period of Scorpio-Navamsa, native's father suffers from disease like piles, blisters in the mouth. On this account, his father will get mentally disturbed which will vitiate the entire environment of the house. In the period of Sagittarius-Navamsa, the native puts in extra efforts. The Navamsa of Capricorn may bring in death, boils and similar kind of diseases, fear from water, danger from crocodile, alligator, water reptiles etc. In Aquarius-Navamsa, the native will have good harvest, and in the period of Pisces-Navamsa, a person gets a specific recognition. If Jupiter is posited in the sign of Cancer, apart from recognition, good fortune and favours from the elite class of people are also conferred onthe native.

वृश्चिके कलहः पीडा तौलिके ह्यधिकं फलम् ।

16-17: Kalachakra Dasa of Leo: In Scorpio-Navamsa, conflicts and distress; in Libra-Navamsa, good gains; in Virgo Navamsa, sumptuous gains; in the Cancer-Navamsa, obstacles from the forestry animals like deer; in Leo-Navamsa, birth of a child; in Gemini-Navamsa, increase of enemies; in Tarurus-Navamsa, profit from animals; in Aries-Navamsa, danger from the animals and in Pisces-Navamsa, long journies (domestic). These are the results of the Dasas of the Navamsa sign of Leo Kalachakra Dasa.

In the period of Cancer-Navamsa, danger from the forestry animals is stated. However; it is also observed that there would be danger from the water reptiles and animals and reptiles dwelling in the burrows. In the Leo-Navamsa, a birth of a child (if there is desire for one will definitly be there). If Saturn is posited in Leo sign, there is danger of sickness for a achild. But if Mars and Jupiter are in Leo sign, the child will be quite intelligent. In the period of Gemini-Navamsa, the native has to suffer minimum of three types of diseases.

In the period of Taurus-Navamsa, there will be a possibility of getting an agency of an enterprise. In Aries-Navamsa, injuries from the pet animals is there. कन्यायां पुत्रवृद्धिः स्यात्कन्याया नवमांशके ।

18-19½ : Kalachakra Dasa of Virgo: In Aquarius-Navamsa, gain of wealth; in Capricorn-Navamsa, native begets finances; in Sagittarius-Navamsa, contacts with the brothers; in Aries-Navamsa, warmth of mother; the Taurus-Navamsa, child birth; in Gemini Navamsa, increase of enemies; in Cancer-Navamsa, love of a woman; in Leo-Navamsa, epidemic and in Virgo-Navamsa, increase in progeny. These are the results of the Navamsas of Virgo Kalachakra Dasa.

तुलायामर्थलाभश्च वृश्चिके भ्रातृवर्द्धनम् ॥ २० ॥

चापे च तातसौख्यं च मृगे मातृविरोधिता ।
कुम्भे पुत्रार्थलाभश्च मीने शत्रुविरोधिता ॥ २१ ॥

अलौ जायाविरोधश्च तुले च जलबाधता ।
कन्यायां धनवृद्धि: स्यात् तुलाया नवभागके ॥ २२ ॥

20-22: Kalachakra Dasa of Libra: In Libra-Navamsa, gain of wealth; in Scorpio-Navamsa, progress of brothers; in Sagittarius Navamsa, affection of father; in Capricorn-Navamsa, mother's confrontation; in Aquarius-Navamsa, acquisition of wealth and birth of children; in Pisces-Navamsa, confrontation with the enemies; in Scorpio-Navamsa, opposition from the wife; in Libra-Navamsa, danger from water; in Virgo-Navamsa, increase of wealth. These are the results of the Navamsas of the Libra Dasas.

कर्कटे ह्यर्थनाशश्च सिंहे राजविरोधिता ।
मिथुने भूमिलाभश्च वृषभे चाऽर्थलाभकृत् ॥ २३ ॥

मेषे सर्पादिभीतिः स्यान्मीने चैव जलाद् भयम् ।
कुम्भे व्यापारतो लाभो मकरेऽपि रुजो भयम् ॥ २४ ॥

चापे तु धनलाभः स्याद् वृश्चिकस्य नवांशके ॥ २४½ ॥

23-24½ : Kalachakra Dasa of Scorpio: In the Navamsa of Cancer, loss of wealth; in the Navamsa of Leo, opposition from the sovereign; in the Navamsa of Gemini, acquisition of land; in the Navamsa of Taurus, gain of wealth; in the Navamsa of Aries, danger from serpants etc; in the Navamsa of Pisces, danger from water; in the Navamsa of Aquarius, gain in the business; in the Navamsa of Capricorn, ill health and in the Navamsa of Sagittarius, acquisition of wealth is indicated. These are the results of the Navamsas of the Scorpio Dasa.

मेषे तु धनलाभः स्याद् वृषे भूमिविवर्द्धनम् ॥ २५ ॥

मिथुने सर्वसिद्धिः स्यात्ककटे सर्वसिद्धिकृत् ।
सिंहे तु पूर्ववृद्धिः स्यात्कन्यायां कलहो भवेत् ॥ २६ ॥

तौलिके चार्थलाभ: स्याद् वृश्चिके रोगमाप्नुयात् ।
चापे तु सुतवृद्धिः स्याच्चापस्य नवमांशके ॥ २७ ॥

25-27: Kalachakra Dasa of Sagittarius : In the Navamsa of Aries, worries about wealth; in the Navamsa of Taurus, increase of land; in the Navamsa of Gemini and Cancer, success in all kind of efforts; in the Navamsa of Leo, enhancement of already accumulated wealth; in the Navamsa of Virgo, conflicts; in the Navamsa of Libra acquisition of wealth; in the Navamsa of Scorpio, discomfort from sickness; in the Navamsa of Sagittarius, increase in the progeny. These are the results of the Navamsa of the Sagittarius Dasa..

मकरे पुत्रलाभः स्यात्कुम्मे धान्यविवर्द्धनम् ।
मीने कल्याणमाप्नोति वृश्चिके विषबाधिता ॥ २८ ॥

तौलिके त्वर्थलाभश्च कन्यायां शत्रुवर्द्धनम् ।
शशिभे श्रियमाप्नोति सिंहे तु मृगबाधिता ॥ २९ ॥

मिथुने वृक्षबाधा च मृगस्य नवभागके ।

28-29½: Kalachakra Dasa of Capricon: In the Navamsa of Capricorn, birth of a child; in the Navamsa of Aquarius, accretion of food grains; in the Navamsa of Pisces, indulgence of public welfare; in the Navamsa of Scorpio, danger from poison; in the Navamsa of Libra, acquisition of wealth; in the Navamsa of Virgo, increase in enemies; in the Navamsa of Cancer, blessing of Godess Laxami; in the Navamsa of Leo, obstacles from the forestry animals and in the Navamsa of Gemini, danger from trees; These are the result of the Navamsas of the Kalachakra Dasa of Capricorn.

वृषभे त्वर्थलाभाश्च मेषभे त्वक्षिरोगकृत् ॥ ३० ॥

मीने तु दीर्घयात्रा स्यात्कुम्भे धन-विवर्द्धनम् ।
मकरे सर्वसिद्धिः स्याच्चापे शत्रुविवर्द्धनम् ॥ ३१ ॥

मेषे सौख्यविनाशश्च वृषभे मरणं भवेत् ।
युग्मे कल्याणमाप्नोति कुम्भस्य नवमांशके ॥ ३२ ॥

30-32 : Kalachakra Dasa of Aquarius: In the Navamsa of Taurus, gain of wealth; in the Navamsa of Aries, eye disease; in the Navamsa of Pisces, visit to far off places; in the Navamsa of Aquarius, accertion in wealth; in the Navamsa of Capricorn, success in all sphere of life; in the Navamsa of Sagittarius, increase in the enemies; in the Navamsa of Aries, end of happiness; in the Navamsa of Taurus, death, in the Navamsa of Gemini, welfare. These are the results of the Navamsas of Dasa of Aquarius.

कर्कटे धनवृद्धिः स्यात् सिंहे तु राजपूजनम् ।
कन्यायामर्थलाभस्तु तुलायां लाभमाप्नुयात् ॥ ३३ ॥

वृश्चिके ज्वरमाप्नोति चापे शत्रुविवर्द्धनम् ।
मृगे जायाविरोधश्च कुम्भे जलविरोधता ॥ ३४ ॥

मीने तु सर्वसौभाग्यं मौनस्य नवभागके ॥ ३४½ ॥

33-34½ : Kalachakra Dasa of Pisces: In the Navamsa of Cancer, gain in wealth; in the Navamsa of Leo, recognition from the King; in the Navamsa of Virgo, increase in wealth; in the Navamsa of Libra, also gives gains; in the Navamsa of Scorpio; fever, in the Navamsa of Sagittarius, increase in the enemies; in the Navamsa of Capricorn, opposition from the wife; in the Navamsa of Aquarius, danger from water; in the Navamsa of Pisces, good fortune in every sphere. These are the results of the Navamsas of the Dasa of Pisces.

दशा- अंशक्रमेणैवं ज्ञात्वा सर्वफलं वदेत् ॥ ३५ ॥

क्रूरग्रहदशाकाले शान्तिं कुर्याद्विचक्षणः ।
यत् प्रोक्तं राजयोगादौ संज्ञाध्यायै च यत् फलम् ॥ ३६ ॥

तत्सर्वं चत्रकाले हि सुबुद्ध्या योजयेद् बुधः ।
इति संक्षेपतः प्रोक्तं कालचक्रदशाफलम् ॥ ३७ ॥

35-37: The sequence of the Navamsa Dasas results of all the signs are first to be understood in this manner and thereafter the complete results should be predicted. During the period of malefic Dasa, religious observance to remedy the ill effects be undertaken.

The results of Rajayogas etc; already brought out in the earlier chapters, should intelligently and diligently be made use of in the Kalachakra Dasa also. This is the brief description of the results of the Kalachakra Dasas.
