56. RESULTS OF THE ANTARDASAS IN THE MAHADASA OF MARS

कुजे स्वान्तर्गते विप्र ! लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
लाभे वा शुभसंयुक्ते दुश्चक्ये धनसंयुते ॥ १ ॥

लग्नाधिपेन संयुक्ते राजाऽनुग्रहवैभवम् ।
लक्ष्मीकटोक्षचिह्वानि नष्टराज्यार्थलाभकृत् ॥ २ ॥

पुत्रोत्सवादिसन्तोषो गृहे गोक्षीरसङ्कुलम् ॥ २½ ॥

1-2½: O Brahmin! If Mars is situated in Angles, Trines, the 11th or the 2nd house from the Ascendant and is also having the conjunction or the aspects of auspicious planets, Mars in its own Antardasa and Mahadasa, will bring great fame with the grace of the king, blessings of Goddess Laxami i.e. abundant wealth, restoration of lost kingdom (high position) and property, festivity on child's birth and satisfaction therefrom and availability of plenty of cow milk in the house.

स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे भौमे स्वांशे वा बलसंयुते ॥ ३ ॥

गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च गोमहिष्यादिलाभकृत् ।
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धः सुखावहा ॥ ४ ॥

3-4: An exalted Mars in its own sign and Navamsa i.e. if Mars is strong, it will give gain of mansion, land, cows, buffalos. (female) etc.

अथाऽष्टमव्यये भौमे पापदृग्योगसंयुते ।
मूत्रकृच्छ्रादिरोगश्चं कष्टाधिक्यं व्रणाद्भयम् ॥ ५ ॥

चौराहिराजपीडा च धनधान्यपशुक्षयः ॥ ५½ ॥

5-5½: If Mars is posited in the 8th or the 12th house, in conjunction or aspected by the malafic planet, the Antardasa and the Mahadasa of Mars will cause urinary related diseases, grave troubles, danger of injuries, theft, snake bite, persecution by the king and loss of animals, wealth and food grains.

द्वितीये द्यूननाये तु देहजाड्यं मनोव्यथा ॥ ६ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं रुद्रजाप्यं च कारयेत् ।
अनड्वाहं प्रदद्याच्च कुजदोषनिवृत्तये ॥ ७ ॥

तेन तुष्टो भवेद् भौमः शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ।
आरोग्यं कुरुते तस्य सर्वसम्पत्तिदायकम् ॥ ८ ॥

6-8: The position of Mars in the 2nd or the 7th house produces body sickness and mental agony. In order to neutralize the ill effets, worship of Lord Shiva (Rudra) and donation of bull (ox) in charity be resorted to. With these pious acts for seeking propitiation of planet, Mars will get pleased and with the kindness of Lord Shiva, it will bestow sound health and prosperity.

This may not be the position in respect of Cancer Ascendant. The only possible adverse effect will be that the native may suffer from 'Manglik' Dosha, if Mars gets the position in the 7th house of the nativity. On the other hand, this Ascendant is quite suitable for political peace, education, child birth, status fame etc.

Mars attaining exalted position in the Aries Ascendant will produce valour, strength, undaunted courage, egoistic nature. On account of these qualities, the native attains popularity, high status etc., and achieve, success in his enterprises (for these kinds of results, the positions of the other planets are also to be considered).

In Pisces Ascendant, if Mars is exalted, or in its own sign, it delivers very good results. Infact, in this situation, Mars is capable of giving the results more of the 9th house. Therefore, any connection with the Moon, Jupiter or Mercury brings stability in the fortune of the native. The best combination will be with Jupiter.

Position of Mars in other Ascendants like Taurus, Scorpio and Capricorn Ascendant, will depict that the fortune of the native will get influenced through means of distant places or foreign countries, provided Mars is in exaltation or own sign.

Mars of Gemini Ascendant is not appreciable because here Mars becomes lord of the 6th and the 11th houses and thus causes malefic effects.

Role of Mars in Virgo Ascendant is mainly related to longevity and to expect any other favourable results will be an exercise in futility. However, if Mars gets some kind of connection with Mercury, the role of Mars in installing a factory, undertaking business of minerals, scraps, antique goods etc., will not only be profitable but also be of great significance.

Mars delivers the results in Libra Ascendant through the lords of the other houses after establishing connection with them. One should not have much expectations, if Mars is not in its own sign or could not develop some combinations (Yogas) with the lords of the other houses, during the Antardasa of Mars. The reason is quite obvious, as in this Ascendant, Mars will take on the lordship of the 2nd and the 7th houses. Being lord of Angle, Mars becomes neutral and as lord of the 2nd house, it will produce the effects of its other sign (7th house) or else combining with some other planets, the results duly influenced by such planets will be obtained. However, if Mars is posited in the sign of exaltation, it will deliver the results of the 4th house.

Mars is not considered efficient in Scorpio Ascendant because in this situation, Mars influences the body of the native or else, it will give such type of business or employments which will have direct bearing on the physique, like service in the Army etc.

In Sagittarius Ascendant, Mars will deliver the results of the 5th house and if it has any combination with the lord of the Angular houses, it will produce comforting results. Mars of Capricorn and Aquarius Ascendant is considered as unfavourable but gives favourable results in any work connected with land and production.

Debilitated position of Mars is not good under any situation. In Aries Ascendant, debilitated Mars effects the health of the mother and native lives in the state of fear. These results are pronounced in the Antardasa of the Moon or the lord of the birth Nakshatra of the Mars. Similar effects of the other relatives of the native connected with the other houses could be analysed on considering the different Ascendants.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते राहौ स्वोच्चे मूलत्रिकोणगे ।
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ॥ ९ ॥

तत्काले राजसम्मानं गृहभूम्यादिलाभकृत् ।
कलत्रपुत्रलाभः स्याद्वव्यवसायात्फलाधिकम् ॥ १० ॥

गंगास्नानफलावाप्तिं विदेशगमनं तथा ॥ १०½ ॥

9-10½ : Rahu being in exaltation or Moolatrikona sign, in conjunction or aspect with the benefic planets or in Angles, Trines or in the 11th house will provide results in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars like, felicitation from the king, gain of mansion or land, marriage or child birth, success in the business or bath in Ganges (holy river) and possibility of foreign visit.

तथाऽष्टमव्यये राहौ पापयुक्तेऽथे वीक्षिते ॥ ११ ॥

चौराहिव्रणभीतिश्च चतुष्पाज्जीवनाशनम् ।
वातपित्तरुजो भीतिः कारागृहनिवेशनम् ॥ १२ ॥

धनस्थानगते राहौ धननाशं महद्भयम् ।
सप्तमस्थानगे वाऽपि ह्यपमृत्युभयं महत् ॥ १३ ॥

नागपूजां प्रकुर्वीत देवब्राह्मणभोजनम् ।
मृत्युञ्जयजपं कुर्यादायुरारोग्यलब्धये ॥ १४ ॥

11-14 : If Rahu is posited in the 8th or the 12th house or combined with or aspected by the malefic planets, in the Antardasa of Rahu of Mahadasa of Mars, will cause danger of theft, snake bite, injury, loss of animals, fear of gastric or bile diseases, imprisonment etc.

Rahu, if placed in the 2nd house, loss of wealth and great fear and in the 7th house, untimely death will take place. Worship of Naga Deva (God of Serpents), food to Brahmins, recitation (Japa) of Mrityunjaya Mantaras will ward off the evil affects and provide a sound health.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते जीवे त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
लाभे वा धनसंयुक्ते तुङांशे स्वांशगेऽपि वा ॥ १५ ॥

सत्कीर्ती राजसम्मानं धनधान्यस्य वृद्धिकृत् ।
गृहे कल्याणसम्पत्तिर्दारपुत्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ १६ ॥

15-16: If Jupiter is posited in Angles, Trines, or in the 11th, the 2nd house, or in the sign of exaltation, own sign or in own Navamsa, the results of the Antardasa of Jupiter of the Mahadasa of Mars, will give great felicity, respect from the king, accretion of wealth and food grains, welfare and prosperity at home, marriage and child birth etc.

दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ।
भाग्यकर्माधिपैर्युक्ते वाहनाधिपसंयुते ॥ १७ ॥

लग्नाधिपसमायुक्ते शुभांशे शुभवर्गगे ।
गृहक्षेत्राभिवृद्धिश्च गृहे कल्याणसम्पदः ॥ १८ ॥

देहारोग्यं महत्कीर्तिगृहे गोकुलसंग्रहः ।
चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभः स्याद्वव्यवसायात्फलाधिकम् ॥ १९ ॥

कलत्रपुत्रसौख्यं च राजसम्मानवैभवम् ॥ १९½ ॥

17-19½ : If the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) has the Jupiter posited at an Angle, Trine, or 11th position and having the conjunction of the lords of the 9th, the 10th, the 4th or the Ascendant and has benefic Navamsa or other Vargas (Divisions), Jupiter in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars, will bring enhancement of land and property, happiness and welfare at home, sound health, great fame and acquisition of more cows (cattle); profit in animals and business; deep affection of wife and children, king's felicitation etc.

Balance of Dasa: Venus 12 years; 1 month, 16 days. Antardasa of Jupiter in the Mahadasa of Mars: 2-12-1993 to 8-11-1994.

The combination (Yoga) between Mars and Jupiter is formed in the 10th house in the sign of Aries and they are also the lords of Angle and Trine. The Sun, lord of the 2nd house (Wealth) and Mercury lord of the 12th house (Export) are also forming another Yoga.

Jupiter is in the sign of exaltation both in Navamsa and Dasamsa and Mars is posited in its own sign Aries, in both these divisional charts. Consequently, the native achieved fabulous profits in his business during the sub-period of Jupiter in the Main period of Mars.

षष्ठाऽष्टमव्यये जीवे नीचे वास्तंगते सति ॥ २० ॥

पापग्रहेण संयुक्ते दृष्टे वा दुर्बले सति ।
चौराहिनृपभीतिश्च पित्तरोगादिसम्भवम् ॥ २१ ॥

प्रेतबाधा भृत्यनाशः सोदराणां विनाशनम् ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युज्वरादिकम् ॥
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्त्रकं जपेत् ॥ २२ ॥

20-22 : If Jupiter is posited in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa or being in the sign of debilitation or combust and get conjuncted with or aspected by the malefic planets or devoid of strength, during the Antardasa of Jupiter, in the Mahadasa of Mars, there will be fear of serpent, the king or theft, possibility of the eruption of biles disease; obstacles in love affairs. Loss of Job and brothers. Should Jupiter be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, untimely death, fever etc., may be caused. To alleviate the adverse effects, recitation of Lord Shiva Sahastranama be observed.

The native contracted Jaundice in the Mahadasa of Mars and. in the Antardasa of Jupiter and on account of which, the child had to undergo blood transfusion. During that period both the Sun and Jupiter were transiting Taurus at 11°-21' and 21°-34' respectively. Jupiter being combust was at 12th house from the natal Mars. Saturn which causes. disease is in the sign of Jupiter (natal chart) duly aspected by Mars. Therefore, the Moolatrikona sign of Jupiter has been intensively afflicted.

Trimsamsa Chart is placed above. Here Jupiter is the lord of the 6th house and placed in the sign of Saturn which is having a conjunction with the Mars. At birth, the balance Dasa was that of the Moon as 4 years, 0 month, 4 days.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे स्वर्क्षे केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
मूलत्रिकोणकेन्द्रे वा तुङांशे स्वांगे सति ॥ २३ ॥

लग्नाधिपतिना वापि शुभदृष्टियुतेऽसिते ।
राज्यसौख्यं यशोवृद्धिः स्वग्रामे धान्यवृद्धिकृत् ॥ २४ ॥

पुत्रपौत्रसमायुक्तो गृहे गोधनसंग्रहः ।
स्ववारे राजसम्मानं स्वमासे पुत्रवृद्धिकृत् ॥ २५ ॥

23-25: If Saturn is posited in own sign, Angles or Trines, Moolatrikona House, exalted sign or in own Navamsa and in conjunction with or aspected by the lord of the Ascendant or of benefic signs, the Antardasa of Saturn in the Mahadasa of Mars will produce results like, pleasure of the king, boost in fame, accretion of food grain in storage, comforts from son or grand son, accumulation of cattle, felicitation from the king on saturday and child birth in the month of Saturn.

नीचादिक्षेत्रगे मन्दे तथाऽष्टव्ययराशिगे ।
म्लेच्छवर्गप्रभुभये धनधान्यादिनाशनम् ॥ २६ ॥

निगडे बन्धनं व्याधिरत्ने क्षेत्रनाशकृत् ॥ २६½ ॥

26-26½: Saturn's position the debilitation or in the 8th or the 12th house will cause danger from a barbarian foreign king, destruction of wealth and agricultural produce, captivity with fetters, eruption of disease etc., in its Antardasa. In the last part of the Dasa, there will be loss of the agricultural land.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु पापयुक्ते महद्भयम् ॥ २७ ॥

धननाशश्च सञ्चारे राजद्वेषो मनोव्यथा ।
चौराग्निनृपपीडा च सहोदरविनाशनम् ॥ २८ ॥

बन्धुद्वेषः प्रमादैश्च जीवहानिश्च जायते ।
अकस्माच्च मृतेर्भीतिः पुत्रदारादिपीडनम् ॥ २९ ॥

कारागृहादिभीतिश्च राजदण्डो महाद्भयम् ॥ २९½ ॥

27-29½: If the Saturn is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house and conjuncted with the malefic planets, the result will be, exceeding fear, loss of wealth in travelling, allegations from the king, mental agony, theft and fire hazards, persecution by the king, loss of brothers (co-born), conflicts with friends, lethargy, perishing of animals, fear of unnatural death, distress to wife and children, danger of imprisonment, great fear of conviction by the king etc., in the Antardasa of Saturn of the Mahadasa of Mars.

दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे लाभस्थे वा त्रिकोणगे ॥ ३० ॥

विदेशयानं लभते दुष्कीर्तिर्विविधा तथा ।
पापकर्मरतो नित्यं बहुजीवादिहिंसकः ॥ ३१ ॥

विक्रयः क्षेत्रहानिश्च स्थानभ्रंशो मनोव्यथा ।
रणे पराजयश्चैव मूत्रकृच्छान्महद्भयम् ॥ ३२ ॥

30-32 : Position of Saturn at Angle, Trine, the 11th or the 5th house from the lord of Mahadasa will produce foreign visits, ill repute, indulgence in the wicked act everyday, violence against living beings, loss in the sale of land, change of place, grief at heart defeat, danger of urinary disease etc.

दायेशादथ रन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
तद्भुक्तौ मरणं ज्ञेयं नृपचौरादिपीडनम् ॥ ३३ ॥

वातपीडा च शूलादिज्ञातिशत्रुभयं भवेत् ॥ ३४ ॥

तद्योषपरिहारार्थ मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
ततः सुखमवाप्नोति शंकरस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ३५ ॥

33-35: From the lord of the Mahadasa, if Saturn is placed at the 8th or the 12th house and get conjunct with the malefic planets, its Antardasa will cause death, damage inflicted through theft and the king etc., disease of gastric (वात), shooting stomach pains, danger from family and enemies. To alleviate the malefic effects, 'Japa' (recitation) of Mrityunjaya be undertaken and with the blessings of Lord Shiva happiness will prevail.

The Moon is in the Nakshatra of Aslesha (on account some unavoidable circumstance, the birth details etc. have been held.)

In the Mahadasa of Mars and Antardasa of Saturn, the native was killed by a severe blow of stick on his head in a conflict with his fellow beings.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
सत्कथाश्चाऽजपादानं धर्मबुद्धिर्महद्यशः ॥ ३६ ॥

नीतिमार्गप्रसङश्च नित्यं मिष्टान्नभोजनम् ।
वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिराजकर्म सुखानि च ॥ ३७ ॥

कृषिकर्मफले सिद्धिर्वारणाम्बरभूषणम् ॥ ३७½ ॥

36-37½ : If Mercury is posited at angles or Trines from the Ascendant, during the Antardasa of Mercury in the Mahadasa of Mars, the results will be, listening to religious discourses, Ajpajapa Japa(अजपाजप) (vtikti) (perpetual recitation of mantra in heart), charity religious thinkings; very high reputation; leading life with moral values; consumption of food with sweet every day; acquisition of conveyance, clothes, animal; enjoyment of political power; success in the agricultural field, procurement of elephant (vehicle like limousine), ornaments etc.

Results like leading a life with high moral values with religious thinkings, devoting time in attending religious discourses etc., will be more pronounced for the natives with Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces Ascendants, when the Mercury is strong, because in these Ascendants, Mercury has the lordship of the 9th, the 10th (meditation and religious thinkings) or the 4th (heart) houses.

Economic success comes from the Leo Ascendant because here Mercury represents the 2nd (wealth) and the 11th (gains) houses. Besides, in this Ascendant, Mars is a Yogakaraka planet. The other Ascendant which may attribute financial success is Taurus as here Mercury becomes the lord of the 2nd and the 5th houses.

Deriving enjoyment out of political power is through the Virgo and the Sagittarius Ascendants but Mercury must develop connection with the lord of the auspicious houses. For the Sagittarius Ascendant, Mars is also considered quite favourable as it has the ownership of the 5th house.

नीचे वास्तङते वापि षष्ठाष्टव्ययगेऽपि वा ॥ ३८ ॥

हृद्रोगं मानहानिश्च निगडं बन्धुनाशनम् ।
दारपुत्रार्थनाशः स्याच्चतुष्पाज्जीवनाशनम् ॥ ३९ ॥

38-39 : If Mercury is in the sign of debilitation or combust or in Trik houses (6,8,12), it will cause heart disease, disrepute, imprisonment with fetters, destruction of co-borns, loss of wife, children; dissipation of wealth, animals etc.

दशाधिपेन संयुक्ते शत्रुवृद्धिर्महद्भयम् ।
विदेशगमनं चैव नानारोगास्तथैव च ॥ ४० ॥

राजद्वारे विरोधश्च कलहः स्वजनैरपि ॥ ४० ½ ॥

40-40½ : Conjunction of Mercury with the lord of the Mahadasa will bring additionality in the enemies; greater amount of fear, foreign travels; assorted diseases; disputes with friends etc.

द्रायेशात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणे वा स्वोच्चे युक्तार्थलाभकृत् ॥ ४१ ॥

अनेकधननाथत्वं राजसम्मानमेव च ।
भूपालयोगं कुरुते धनाम्बरविभूषणम् ॥ ४२ ॥

भूरिवाद्यमृदंगादि सेनापत्यं महत्सुखम् ।
विद्या - विनोदविमला वस्त्रवाहनभूषणम् ॥ ४३ ॥

दारपुत्रादिविभवं गृहे लक्ष्मी: कटाक्षकृत् ॥ ४३½ ॥

41-43½ : Placement of Mercury at Angles, Trines, from the Mahadasa's lord or in own sign will render gain of wealth, ownership of different types of assets, felicitation from the king. In the event of Rajayoga, acquisition of wealth, clothes, ornaments; abundant musical instruments, post of commander in the Army, immoderate enjoyment, education, entertainment and manifestation, comforts of wife, children etc., and blessings of Goddess Laxami.

दायेशात्षष्ठरिःफस्थे रन्ध्रे वा पापसंयुते ॥ ४४ ॥

तद्दाये मानहानिः स्यात्क्रूरबुद्धिस्तु क्रूरवाक् ।
चौराग्निनृपपीडा च मार्गे दस्युभयादिकम् ॥ ४५ ॥

अकस्मात्कलहश्चैव बुधभुक्तौ न संशयः ॥ ४५½ ॥

44-45½ : Position of Mercury in the Trik houses (6/8/12), from the lord of the Mahadasa and having conjunction with malefic planets, its Antardasa will undoubtedly cause disrepute, crookedness, wicked talks, damage through thieves, fire, king, danger from bandits enroute, calamities etc. types of results.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु महाव्याधिर्भयङरः ॥ ४६ ॥

अश्वदानं प्रकुर्वीत विष्णोर्नामसहस्रकम् ।
सर्वसम्पत्प्रदं विप्र ! सर्वारिष्टप्रशान्तये ॥ ४७ ॥

46-47: If Mercury is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, in its Antardasa a serious disease, with grave effects will be caused. For alleviating all kinds of afflictions, donation of horses in charity and recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama, O-Brahmin, should be undertaken with all humbleness.

Data : Date of birth 2/3-4-1977; Time of birth 5-23 hrs (IST); Latitude, 28°-43' (N); Longitude 77°-47' (E),

Balance Dasa Sun 2 years, 10 months, 7 days.

In the birth chart, the lords of the 6th house the Sun and the 8th house Venus are posited in the Ascendant which are malefic for this Ascendant. The lord of the Mahadasa Mars being the lord of the 2nd house is posited in the 12th house. Mercury having the lordship of the 7th house is placed in the 2nd house. In the Trimsamsa chart, Mercury is the 2nd lord. The native suddenly fell sick with the kidney disease, which caused very heavy expenditure. Dacoits robbed the house. This all happened during the sub-period of Mercury and main period of Mars which was operative between 21-8-1993 and 18-8-1994.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते केतौ त्रिकोणे केन्द्रगेऽपि वा ।
दुश्चिक्ये लाभगे वाऽपि शुभयुक्ते शुभेक्षिते ॥ ४८ ॥

राजानुग्रहशान्तिश्च बहुसौख्यं धनागमः ।
किञ्चित्फलं दशादौ तु भूलाभः पुत्रलाभकृत् ॥ ४९ ॥

राजसंलाभकार्याणि चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभकृत् ॥ ४९½ ॥

48-49½ : If Ketu is posited in Angle, Trine, the 3rd or the 11th house from the Ascendant and in conjunction with the benefic planets, in its Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Mars, it will deliver the results, namely; peace and comforts with the blessings of the king, accretion of wealth, less comforts in beginning (more in the end of the Dasa) acquisition of land, birth of a child, endowment of authority in the government work and gain of animals.

योगकारकसंस्थाने बलवीर्यसमन्विते ॥ ५० ॥

पुत्रलाभो यशोवृद्धिर्गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ।
भृत्यवर्गधनप्राप्तिः सेनापत्यं महात्सुखम् ॥ ५१ ॥

भूपालमित्रं कुरुते यागाम्बरादिभूषणम् ॥ ५१½ ॥

50-51½ : In the Antardasa of a strong Yogkaraka Ketu, there will be birth of a child, improvement in the reputation, blessings of Goddess Laxami at home (bestowal of wealth), gain of wealth through employees, conferment of the post of commander in the army; great happiness; acquaintance with the king, completion of oblation of sacred rites (यज्ञ); benefit of clothes and ornaments.

दायेशात्षष्ठरःफस्थे रन्ध्रे वा पापसंयुते ॥ ५२ ॥

कलहो दन्तरोगश्च चौरव्याघ्रादिपीडनम् ।
ज्वरातिसार - कुष्ठादि-दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ५३ ॥

द्वितीयसप्तमस्थाने देहे व्याधिर्भविष्यति ।
अपमानमनस्तापौ धनधान्यादिप्रच्युतिम् ॥ ५४ ॥

52-54 : Placement of Ketu duly conjunct with the malefic planets at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars), there will be quarrels, dental problem, trouble through thief, lion etc., fever, dysentery, arthritis, bickering with wife and children etc. If Ketu is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house from the Ascendant, mental agony, destruction of wealth and food grains will be caused.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वाऽपिशुभस्थानाधिपेऽथवा ॥ ५५ ॥

राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं गजाश्वाम्बरभूषणम् ।
लग्नाधिपेन सम्बन्धे पुत्रदारादिवर्धनम् ॥ ५६ ॥

आयुषो वृद्धिरैश्वर्यं भाग्यवृद्धिसुखं भवेत् ॥ ५६½ ॥

55-56½ : If Venus is placed in Angles, Trines, in the 11th house, in the sign of exaltation or own sign or having the lordship of auspicious houses, its Antardasa during the Mahadasa of Mars will attribute benefit from the king, immoderate happiness; acquisition of elephant, horses, clothes, ornaments. Should Venus has any connection with the Ascendant, comforts from wife and birth of child, accretion in longevity, plentiful of luxuries, improvement in the fortune or happiness will be the results of its Antardasa.

Position of Venus in the 12th house will afford enjoyment, copious luxuries, bed comforts etc.

In Gemini Ascendant, the connection of Venus will its lord Mercury, it will certainly increase children, longevity, happiness, fortune, luxuries, land etc., because the nexus will combine the Angle and Trine positions. Same will be the situation in the Virgo Ascendant. Incidentally, in both these situations Mars will represent inauspicious houses which will definitely retract the beneficial results to some extent in the Antardasa of Venus.

The Antardasa of Venus of the Mahadasa of Mars provides excellent results pertaining to comfort, wealth, luxury, status, success in government assignments in the Capricorn and Aquarius Ascendants. In case of the Capricorn ascendant, Venus combining Saturn will produce an excellent Yoga: This Antardasa is also favourable for the natives having Sagittarius and Pisces Ascendants.

दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणस्थे लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा ॥ ५७ ॥

तत्काले श्रियमाप्नोति पुत्रलाभं महत्सुखम् ।
स्वप्रभोश्च महत्सौख्यं धनवस्त्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ ५८ ॥

महाराजप्रसादेन ग्रामभूम्या दिलाभदम् ।
भुक्त्यन्ते फलमाप्नोति गीतनृत्यादिलाभदम् ॥ ५९ ॥

पुण्यतीर्थस्नानलाभं कर्माधिपसमन्विते ।
पुण्यधर्मदयाकूपतडागं कारयिष्याति ॥ ६० ॥

57-60 : Position of Venus from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) at Angle, Trine, the 11th house or the 2nd house will produce acquition of wealth, child, excessive happiness, pleasure of one's lord (employer), clothes; gain of village with the blessings of the king, profit from the land etc., during its Antardasa. Lots of comforts will be derived from songs, dance etc. and advantage of bathing in ancient pilgrimage places will also be the effects of the Antardasa. In case Venus has any connection with the lord of the 10th house, the native will perform religious and pious deeds and will also construct ponds etc.

दायेशाद्रन्धरिष्फस्थे षष्ठे वा पापसंयुते ।
करोति दुःखबाहुल्यं देहपीडां धनक्षयम् ॥ ६१ ॥

राजचौरादिभीतिञ्च गृहे कलहमेव च ।
दारपुत्रादिपीडां च गोमहिष्यादिनाशकृत् ॥ ६२ ॥

61-62 : Placement of Venus in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mars) or conjunction with the malefic planets will bring excessive grief, bodily pains, loss of wealth, danger from the thieves or the king, conflicts at home, distress from wife and children, destruction of animals like cow, buffalo (female) etc.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहबाध भविष्यति ।
श्वेतां गां महिषों दद्यादायुरारोग्यवृद्धये ॥ ६३ ॥

63 : If Venus is posited in the 12th or the 7th house bodily pain is observed. For the mitigation of the ill effects, if cow, buffalo (female) etc., are given in charity, it will provide good longevity and sound health.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते सूर्ये स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रकेन्द्रगे ।
मूलत्रिकोणलाभे वा भाग्यकर्मेशसंयुते ॥ ६४ ॥

तद्भुक्तौ वाहनं कीर्ति पुत्रलाभं च विन्दति ।
धनधान्यसमृद्धिः स्याद् गृहे कल्याणसम्पदः ॥ ६५ ॥

क्षेमारोग्यं महद्धैर्य राजपूज्यं महत्सुखम् ।
व्यवसायात्फलाधिक्यं विदेशे राजदर्शनम् ॥ ६६ ॥

64-66 : If in the Mahadasa of Mars and the Antardasa of the Sun is operating and if the Sun is in exaltation, own sign, Moolatrikona, Angles, Trines or in the 11th house and having the conjunction of the lords of the 9th and the 10th houses; vehicle, high reputation, birth of a child are attained. In this Antardasa, wealth, food grains, welfare and prosperity, good health, undaunted courage, felicitation by the king, exessive happiness, exceedingly successful business, meeting with the king in the foreign land etc., will be the results.

दायेशात्षष्ठरिष्फे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
देहपीडा मनस्तापः कार्यहानिर्महद्भयम् ॥ ६७ ॥

शिरोरोगो ज्वरादिश्च अतीसारमथापि वा ॥ ६७½ ॥

67-67½: If the Sun is posited in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of Mahadasa (Mars) and is also connected with the malefic planets, body distress, mental derangement, failure at work, deep fright, brain disease, fever, dysentery etc., are the type of diseases feared during the Antardasa.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु सर्पज्वरविषाद्भयम् ॥ ६८ ॥

सुतपीडाभयं चैव शान्ति कुर्याद्यथाविधि ।
देहारोग्यं प्रकुरुते धनधान्यचयं तथा ॥ ६९ ॥

68-69 : Position of the Sun in the 2nd, the 7th house will cause danger from snake, fever, poison etc., and also distress to son. By Performing religious worships in a prescribed manner will confer sound health, increase of wealth and food grains.

कुजस्यान्तर्गते चन्द्रे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रकेन्द्रगे ।
भाग्यवाहन - कर्मेश - लग्नाधिपसमन्विते ॥ ७० ॥

करोति विपुलं राज्यं गन्धमाल्याम्बरादिकम् ।
तडागं गोपुरादीनां पुण्यधर्मादिसंग्रहम् ॥ ७१ ॥

विवाहोत्सवकर्माणि दारपुत्रादिसौख्यकृत् ।
पितृमातृसुखावाप्ति गृहे लक्ष्मीः कटाक्षकृत् ॥ ७२ ॥

महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिसुखादिकम् ।
पूर्णे चन्द्रे पूर्णफलं क्षीणे स्वल्पफलं भवेत् ॥ ७३ ॥

70-73 : During the Mahadasa of Mars and the Antardasa of the Moon, if the Moon is in the sign of exaltation, own sign or in Angles in conjunction with the lords of the 9th, the 4th or the 10th house or the Ascendant lord, it will give fragrance, rosary of the flowers or clothes; will undertake pious deeds, construction of pond, cow shed etc., will have festivity of marriage, happiness from wife and children, co-operation from the parents, blessings of Goddess Laxami (wealth), completion of ambitious tasks with the blessings of the king etc. If it is full Moon, the result will be total and in case of weak Moon, diminishing results will be experienced.

नीचारिस्थऽष्टमे षष्ठे दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रके ।
मरणं दारपुत्राणां कष्टं भूमिविनाशनम् ॥ ७४ ॥

पशुधान्यक्षयश्चैव चौरादिरणभीतिकृत् ।
द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ॥ ७५ ॥

हजाड्यं मनोदुःखं दुर्गा लक्ष्मीजपं चरेत् ।
श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यादनेनारोग्यमादिशेत् ॥ ७६ ॥

74-76 : Debilitated, in inimical sign and placed in the 6th or the 8th house from the lord of the Mahadasa, the Moon in its Antardasa will produce death, distress to wife and son, loss of land, destruction of animals and agricultural produce, danger from the thieves and war (encounter). If the same Moon is the lord of the 2nd or the 12th house, it will cause early death, danger to body, mental distress etc. Recitation of Mantras (Japa) of Goddess Durga, Laxami, giving away white cow, buffalo in charity will ward off the evil effects.
