58. RESULTS OF THE ANTARDASAS IN THE MAHADASA OF JUPITER

स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगे जीवे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
अनेकराजाधीशो वा सम्पन्नो राजपूजितः ॥ १ ॥

गोमहिष्यादिलाभश्च वस्त्रवाहनभूषणम् ।
नूतनस्थाननिर्माणं हर्म्यप्राकारसंयुतम् ॥ २ ॥

गजान्तैश्वर्यसम्पत्तिर्भाग्यकर्मफलोदयः ।
ब्राह्मणप्रभुसम्मानं समानं प्रभुदर्शनम् ॥ ३ ॥

स्वप्रभोः स्वफलाधिक्यं दारपुत्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ ३½ ॥

1-3½:If Jupiter is in Angle or Trine, in exaltation or own sign, the Antardasa of Jupiter also in the Mahadasa of Jupiter, will produce results like, attainment of kingship over many kings, deep affection of the king, gain of wealth, cows, buffaloes, clothes, vehicles, ornaments, a well fortified mansion, construction of a new house and all sorts of copious luxuries; rise in the fortune; time for the fructification of efforts, felicitation from Brahmins and the king; meeting with the king; specific gains from the master (employer); benefits to wife and children.

If Jupiter attains the lordship of the 9th house in the nativity, it would bestow great knowledge to the native and would come in contact with learned, pious and religious preceptors. Being the lord of the 10th house, Jupiter would confer highly acclaimed regards from the king, elevation of position and would acquire political reckonings. There would be lot of festivities at home.

Should Jupiter be the lord of the 2nd or the 11th house, it will render special results of acquiring money and material comforts. In the nativity, if Jupiter takes over the lordship of the 7th and the 10th houses, number of marriage functions would take place. In the event of lordship over the Ascendant and the 4th house by the Jupiter, it would make the native well composed, full of vigour and vitality and would also betow solace and comforts. Some of the exponents of Astrology are of the opinion that Jupiter in its own Antardasa and Mahadasa, does not produce many auspicious results. It is an old saying that like a honest king who does not amass wealth and assets during his kingship, Jupiter also remains neutral in respect of wealth and assets during its Antardasa of its Mahadasa. There is some element of truth in it but during this period, native's latent and pious qualities certainly get exposed which helps him getting high status and reputation.

नीचांशे नीचराशिस्थे षष्ठाष्टव्ययराशिगे ॥ ४ ॥

नीचसंगो महादुःखं दायादजनविग्रहः ।
कलहो न विचारोऽस्य स्वप्रभुष्वपमृत्युकृत् ॥ ५ ॥

पुत्रदारवियोगश्च धनधान्दार्थहानिकृत् ॥ ५½ ॥

4-5½ : If Jupiter is placed in the sign of debilitation and also. in debilitated Navamsa or in the Trik houses (6/8/12), it will render results like company of the people of the lower strata, highly aggrieved, dispute with co-parceners, imprudent conflicts, untimely own or employers death, grief of wife and children, loss of wealth and prosperity.

Example-41 : A horoscope having Jupiter as the lord of the 9th house but situated in the sign of debilitation and in the 7th house of Navamsa is analysed as under :

Data : Date of birth 12-8-1964; Time of birth, 10-00 hrs. (IST) Latitude 28°-43' (N); Longitude - 77° 47' (E)

Balance Dasa: Moon 0 year, 8 months, 27 days.

The Antardasa of Jupiter in its Mahadasa operated between 10 5-1990 and 27-6-1992 and during the period the native was blessed with a son (In Saptamsa chart Jupiter is placed in the 5th house with Cancer as the Ascendant) In the same period the native also constructed a building for his factory (Jupiter is the lord of the 4th house in the birth chart). Due to placement of Jupiter in the 7th house duly debilitated in the Navamsa chart, the native faced a very serious dispute with his wife and her relatives in the same period.

सप्तमाधिपदोषेण देवबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ६ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्रकं जपेत् ।
रुद्रजाप्यं च गोदानं कुर्यात् स्वाऽभीष्टलब्धये ॥ ७ ॥

6-7 : If Jupiter is the lord of the 7th house, it will cause physical distress. For alleviation of the ill effects, recitation of Shiva Sahasranama and Rudra Japa be undertaken and cow be given in charity. By performing these propitiatory act, contemplative ambitions will get fullfilled.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रमित्रभे ।
लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणस्थे लाभे वा बलसंयुते ॥ ८ ॥

राज्यलाभो महत्सौख्यं वस्त्राभरणसंयुतम् ।
धनधान्यादिलाभश्च स्त्रीलाभो बहुसौख्यकृत् ॥ ९ ॥

वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिभूलाभ: स्थानलाभकृत् ।
पुत्रमित्रादिसौख्यं च नरवाहनयोगकृत् ॥ १० ॥

नीलवस्त्रादिलाभश्च नीलाश्वं लभते च सः ।
पश्चिमां दिशमाश्रित्य प्रयाणं राजदर्शनम् ॥ ११ ॥

अनेकयानलाभं च निर्दिशेन्मन्दभुक्तिषु ॥ ११½ ॥

8-11½ : If Saturn is posited in its own, exalted or friendly sign or at Angle, Trine or in the 11th house from the Ascendant and endowed with strength, the Antardasa of Saturn in the Mahadasa of Jupiter would bring gain of kingdom, excessive happiness, clothes, ornaments, wealth, prosperity acquisition of woman (wife), varied comforts, vehicles, animals, land, property; warmth of chil dren and friends; comforts of palanquin, (luxurious vehicle); acqui sition of blue clothes and blue coloured horse; visit to western countries; meetings with the kings and fleet of vehicles.

In the other Ascendants, one of these planets would come up as a malefic planet and as such this sub-period of Saturn could depose inauspicious results only. Reference to the other classical works would clarify this aspect, where elaborate interpretations of these combinations have been enlisted.

Jataka Parijata :

द्वेषबुद्धिं मनस्तापं पुत्रमूलाद्धनव्ययम् ।
कर्मनाशमवाप्नोति शनौ जीवदशान्तरे ॥

It means that when the Antardasa of Saturn operates in the Jupiter's Mahadasa, there would be disturbed mind, enhancement of contemptuous feelings, extravagant expenditure by the son, loss or reverses in all ventures etc.

Phaladeepika:

वेश्याङनामदकृदासवदोषसंग उत्कर्ष सौख्य कुटुम्बपशुपीडा ।
अर्थव्ययोरू भयमक्षिजरु वसुतार्ति जैवी दर्शा विशति दैनकरे नराणाम् ॥

It says that in the Mahadasa of Jupiter and the Antardasa of Saturn, company of prostitudes, increase in the liquor consumption and materialistic comforts are attained but there will be lot of distress in the family and cattle herds. Heavy expenditure, native remains under the spell of fear pychosis, eye disease, distress of son etc. will be the other effects.

Similar kinds of effects could be quoted from the other ancient works on Astrology. An example to elucidate some of the results pertaining to this sub-period of Saturn is cited below:

Example-42

Data : Date of birth 24-10-1954; Time of birtn 22-06 hrs. (IST) Latitude 29-0' (N); Longitude 77°-42' (E)

Balance Dasa Moon 6 years, 2 months, 20 days.

In the birth chart, Gemini is the Ascendant. Both Jupiter and Saturn are in the sign of exaltation. Although due to combution of Saturn, it has lost some potency but it had made up through Shada Bala of 8.33 Rupa against the required strength of 5.00 Rupa. Both Saturn and Jupiter are in the friendly sign and are Angle to each other with Saturn aspects on Jupiter. Therefore, during the Antardasa of Saturn in the Mahadasa of Jupiter which operated between 5-3-1988 and 16-9-90, the native made tremendous progress in his business and entered into pdlitics. Though he did not make much inroad in this field but the living standard made a quantum jump in this sub-period.

In the Gemini nativity, the native experiences the benefic effects towards the latter part of the Antardasa, because in the earlier part it gives the results of the 8th house. (Saturn being the lord of both the 8th and the 9th houses).

लग्नात्षठाष्टमे मन्दे व्यये नीचेऽस्तगेऽप्यरौ ॥ १२ ॥

धनधान्यादिनाशश्च ज्वरपीडा मनोरुजः ।
स्त्रीपुत्रादिषु पीडा वा व्रणार्त्यादिकमुद्भवेत् ॥ १३ ॥

गृहे त्वशुभकार्याणि भृत्यवर्गादिपीडनम् ।
गोमहिष्यादिहानिश्च बन्धुद्वेषी भविष्यति ॥ १४ ॥

12-14: If Saturns is at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the Ascendant, in debilitation, combust or in the inimical sign, the results will be loss of wealth and prosperity; will act distressed from fever, mental agony, injury and trouble to wife, children etc.; inauspicious functions at home, trouble to the servants; loss of animal like cows, buffaloes etc., there would be conflict between the co-borns in this period.

दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणस्थे लाभे वा धनगेऽवि वा ।
भूलाभश्चार्थलाभश्च पुत्रलाभसुखं भवेत् ॥ १५ ॥

गोमहिष्यादिलाभश्च शूद्रमूलाद्धनं तथा ॥ १५½ ॥

15-15½ : Placement of Saturn in an Angle or Trine posited at the 11th or the 2nd house from the Mahadasa lord (Jupiter) will produce comforts of wealth, children and animals like cows, buffaloes etc.; gain of wealth through low caste people etc., types of results.

दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ १६ ॥

धनधान्यादिनाशश्च बन्धुमित्रविरोधकृत् ।
उद्योगभंगो देहार्तिः स्वजनानां महद्भयम् ॥ १७ ॥

16-17: If Saturn is located in the Trik houses (6,8,12) and conjoined with the malefic planets, it will attribute results like, loss of wealth and prosperity; confrontation with the co-borns and friends; obstructions in the business; physical distress; great dan ger from the co-borns.

द्विसप्तमाधिपे मन्दे ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसहस्त्रकं जपेत् ॥ १८ ॥

कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्यादनेनारोग्यमादिशेत् ।
मन्दग्रहप्रसादेन सत्यं सत्यं द्विजोत्तम ! ॥ १९ ॥

18-19 : Should Saturn acquire the lordship of the 2nd and the 7th house, it will cause premature death. In order to mitigate the evil effects of the afflictions, Lord Vishnu Sahasarnama be recited and black cow and female buffalo be given in charity and with the blessing of the supreme Brahmin Saturn, it would bestow sound health and beneficence.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते सौम्ये केन्द्रलाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वापि दशाधिपसमन्विते ॥ २० ॥

अर्थलाभो देहसौख्यं राज्यलाभो महत्सुखम् ।
महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ॥ २१ ॥

वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिगोधनैस्सुङकुलं गृहम् ॥ २१½ ॥

20-21½ : Placement of Mercury in the Angle, Trine, own or exaltation sign or conjoined with the lord of the 10th house, will produce results such as gain of wealth; happiness of sound health, profit through king (state), excessive comforts, accomplishment of the ambitious plans with the blessing of the king; accummulation of vehicles, clothes, animals like cows etc., in the Antardasa of Mercury and in the Mahadasa of Jupiter.

महीसुतेन संदृष्टे शत्रुवृद्धिः सुखक्षयः ॥ २२ ॥

व्यवसायात्फलं नेष्टं ज्वरातीसारपीडनम् ॥ २२½ ॥

22-22½ : If Mercury is under the aspect of Mars, the Antardasa of Mercury will produce malefic results like, increase of enemies, loss of happiness and business; disease like fever and dysentery.

दायेशाद्भाग्यकोणे वा केन्द्रे वा तुंगराशिगे ॥ २३ ॥

स्वदेशे धनलाभश्च पितृमातृसुखावहा ।
गजवाजिसमायुक्तो राजमित्रप्रसादतः ॥ २४ ॥

23-24 : If Mercury is placed at Angle, Trine from the lord of Mahadasa or in the sign of exaltation, there will be gain of wealth in one's own country, warmth of mother and father; possession of elephants, horses etc. (vehicles) with the blessings of the friendly king.

i)The first one is that the Antardasa of the Mercury in Jupiter Mahadasa will produce inauspicious results, such as, flirta tion with the women, earnings through gamblings and sale of liquors and native will remain sick with gastric, biles, phlegmatic diseases:

ii)The other opinion is that in the Mahadasa of Jupiter will render only auspicious results. During the Antardasa, the native worships deities and Brahmins. He is also blessed with children and wealth.

The Antardasa of Mercury in the Mahadasa of Jupiter is consid ered auspicious in Jataka Parijata. The version of this ancient treatise is that in this Antardasa, the native will profit from the business side; blessings of the king and the time passes through rather quite comfortably. Native undertakes pious deeds and observes austerity.

The native with Aries Ascendants, contract diseases like gastric, biles and phlegmatic which is a natural because, in this Ascendant, Mercury takes the lordship of the 6th and the 3rd houses. In this Ascendant, Mercury will produce malefic results regardless of its place ment. Apart from this, for Scorpio Ascendant, Mercury will give inauspi cious results. Being the lord of the 8th house, the native will naturally take to drinking. In fact, there is no difference of opinion on these two Ascendants.

दायेशात्वष्ठरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
शुभदृष्टिविहीने च धनधान्यपरिच्युतिः ॥ २५ ॥

विदेशगमनं चैव मार्गे चौरभयं तथा ।
व्रणदाहाक्षिरोगश्च नानादेशपरिभ्रमः ॥ २६ ॥

25-26 : Placement of Mercury at the Trik houses (6/8/12) froms the lord of the Mahadasa (Jupiter) or conjunction with the malefic planets and devoid of any benefic aspects will attribute results like loss of wealth and prosperity, journey to foreign countries, danger of theft enroute; injuries and burning sensations therefrom; eye disease, wandering in foreign lands in the Antardasa of Mercury and the Mahadasa of Jupiter.

लग्नात्षष्ठाष्टमभावे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
अकस्मात्कलहश्चैव गृहे निष्ठुरभाषणम् ॥ २७ ॥

चतुष्पाज्जीवहानिश्च व्यवहारे तथैव च ।
अपमृत्युभयं चैव शत्रूणां कलहो भवेत् ॥ २८ ॥

27-28 : If Mercury is posited in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the Ascendant and conjoined with the malefic planets, its Antardasa will produce sudden quarrel without cause; provocative (criminal kind) speaches; loss in the animal trade; premature death; conflict with the enemies etc.

शुभदृष्टे शुभैर्युक्ते दारसौख्यं धनागमः ।
आदौ शुभं देहसौख्यं वाहनाम्बरलाभकृत् ॥ २९ ॥

अन्ते तु धनहानिश्चेत्स्वात्मसौख्यं न जायते ॥ २९½ ॥

29-29½ : If the same Mercury is aspected by or conjunct with the benefic planet, there will be affectionate warmth from wife, influx of wealth. In the beginning of the Antardasa, comforts of vehicle, clothes, gains and towards the end of the Antardasa, loss of wealth and physical distress etc. are felt.

Example - 43

Data : Date of birth 15-3-1980; Time of birth 19-10 hrs (IST) Latitude, 29-0'; Longitude 77° 42'

Balance of Dasa; Rahu; 7 years, 9 months, 11 days.

In this birth chart, Mercury being the lord of the Ascendant (body of the native) is posited in the 6th house (house of disease) and the lord of the 6th house Saturn is located in the Ascendant. Again, Mercury is conjoined with the weak Moon and malefic Ketu duly aspected by malefic Mars. However, Mercury is also having the auspicious aspects of Jupiter and is placed at Angle to the lord of the Mahadasa (Jupiter).

In the last part of Antardasa of Mercury and the Mahadasa of Jupiter which was in operation between 26-8-1992 and 2-12-1994, native met with a serious car accident and his body suffered multiple injuries. Father of the native was also in the same vehicle who got his both the legs fractured and also received head injury.

द्वितीयधूननाथे वा ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ॥ ३० ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ।
आयुर्वृद्धिकरं चैव सर्वसौभाग्यदायकम् ॥ ३१ ॥

30-31 : If Mercury is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause premature death. For the alleviation of the affliction, chanting of Sahasranama in the praise of Lord Vishnu will enhance the longevity and bestow all kinds of happiness.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते केतौ शुभग्रहसमन्विते ।
अल्पसौख्यधनावाप्तिः कुत्सितान्नस्य भोजनम् ॥ ३२ ॥

परान्नं चैव श्राद्धन्नं पापमूलाद्धनानि च ॥ ३२½ ॥

32-32½ : If Ketu is conjoined with the benefic planets, will result in, moderate comforts and gain of wealth; insipid food of coarse grains; subsist on donated and charitable food and also procure food through unscrupulous means, during the Antardasa of Ketu and in the Mahadasa of Jupiter.

दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्ये व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ ३३ ॥

राजकोपो धनच्छेदो बन्धनं रोगपीडनम् ।
बलहानिः पितृद्वेषो भ्रातृद्वेषो मनोरुजः ॥ ३४ ॥

33-34: If Ketu is placed at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa and conjoined with malefic planet, in the Antardasa of Ketu there will be loss of wealth due persccution by the king; imprisonment, sufferings through diseases; loss of bodily strength, severe opposition from father and brothers; mental anguish etc.

दायेशात्सुतभाग्यस्थे वाहने कर्मगेऽपि वा ।
नरवाहनयोगश्च गजाश्वाम्बरसङ्कुलम् ॥ ३५ ॥

महाराजप्रसादेन स्वेष्टकार्यार्थलाभकृत् ।
व्यवसायात्फलाधिक्यं गोमहिष्यादिलाभकृत् ॥ ३६ ॥

यवनप्रभुमूलाता धनवस्त्रादिलाभकृत् ॥ ३६½ ॥

35-36½ : Placement of Ketu a the 5th, the 9th, the 4th the 10th position from the lord of the Mahadasa will betow palanquin (luxurious vehicle) elephants, horses, clothes, fullfilment of the ambitious plans with the grace of the king, gain of wealth, heavy profits in the business, acquisition of cows, buffaloes, gain of wealth and clothes from the Greek (Yavana) king etc. type of results.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ३७ ॥

छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
सर्वदोषोपशमनीं शान्तिं कुर्याद्विधानतः ॥ ३८ ॥

37-38 : If Ketu is having the lordship of the 2nd or the 7th house, there will be physical distress. For the mitigation of the ill effects, goat be given in charity, and Mrityunjaya Mantras (Japa) be chanted thereby peace will dawn.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे भाग्यकेन्द्रेशसंयुते ।
लाभे वा सुतराशिस्थे स्वक्षेत्रे शुभसंयुते ॥ ३९ ॥

नरवाहनयोगश्च गजाश्वाम्बरसंयुतः ।
महाराजप्रसादेन लाभाधिक्यं महत्सुखम् ॥ ४० ॥

पूर्वस्यां दिशि विप्रेन्द्र ! प्रयाणं धनलाभदम् ।
कल्याणं च महाप्रीतिः पितृमातृसुखावहा ॥ ४१ ॥

देवतागुरुभक्तिश्च अन्नदानं महत्तथा ।
तडागगोपुरादीनि दिशेत् पुण्यानि भूरिशः ॥४२॥

39-42: In the Mahadasa of Jupiter and the Antardasa of Venus, if Venus is placed in Angle, Trine, in the 11th house, or in own sign and conjoined with the benefic planets, the results will be, gain of Palanquin (limousine) elephants, horses, clothes; excessive gains with the grace of the king; copious luxuries; profit from eastward journey; auspiciousness at home; great pleasures to mother and father; worship of deity and preceptor; charity of food grains, development of pond and cattle shed and various other pious deeds.

Example-44

Data : Date of birth 21/22-12-1969; Time of birth 4-07 hrs (IST) Latitude 28°-39' (N); Longitude 77⁰-26 (E).

Balance of Dasa : Mars - 5 years, 8 months, 27 days.

The Antardasa of Venus in the Mahadasa of Jupiter operated from 1-8-1992 to 2-4-1995. Right from the commencement of the sub period of Venus, decent profits, steep rise in the business and status begin to show up. In the birth chart, Venus is the lord of the Ascendant, which is in its Moolatrikona sign and as such will deliver specific results of the Ascendant. The Ascendant lord Venus is in conjunction with the Angle lord Moon. Further, Venus is also in the Nakshatra of the Moon having Shadabala of 7-65 Rupa against required strength of 5-5 Rupa. Mars lord of the 2nd house (wealth) is also throwing its aspect on Venus. All these combined factors fully energised Venus to deliver appreciable results during its Antardasa.

षष्ठाष्टमव्यये नीचे दायेशाद्वा तथैव च ।
कलहो बन्धुवैषम्यं दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ॥ ४३ ॥

मन्दारराहुसंयुक्तो कलहो राजतो भयम् ।
स्त्रीमूलात्कलहश्चैव श्वशुरात्कलहस्तथा ॥ ४४ ॥

सोदरेण विवाद: स्याद्धनधान्यपरिच्युतिः ॥ ४४½ ॥

43-44½ : If Venus is placed at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the Ascendant or the Mahadasa lord in the sign of debilitation, it will give rise to disputes, opposition with the co-borns and sufferings of wife and children. If this Venus conjoins with Saturn or Rahu, quarrels; fear of persecution by the king, dispute on account of wife; conflict with father-in-law, differences with the brothers and loss of wealth and prosperity, would be the results of the Antardasa of Venus.

Data : Date of birth, 13-3-1963; Time of birth, 16-35 hrs. (IST) Latitude 28° 51' (N); Longitude 78°-47' (E).

Balance Dasa: Mars 1 year., 9 months, 6 days

Venus is posited in the 6th house from the Ascendant alongwith Saturn and Ketu and duly aspected by Mars and Rahu. Mars is the lord of the 10th house from the 7th house (wife). Hence this house represents father-in-law. Its lord Mars, is posited in the 12th house duly debilitated and also aspecting Venus and the Sun (lord of the Ascendant). The native entered into dispute with his wife and father-in-law during the period between 1-11-1990 and 1-7-1993 when the Antardasa of Venus was operating.

दायेशात्केन्द्रराशिस्थे धने वा भाग्यगेऽपि वा ॥ ४५ ॥

धनधान्यादिलाभश्च श्रीलाभो राजदर्शनम् ॥ ४६ ॥

वाहनं पुत्रलाभश्च पशुवृद्धिर्महत्सुखम् ।
गीतवाद्यप्रसंगादिर्विटद्वज्जनसमागमः ॥ ४७ ॥

दिव्यान्नभोजनं सौख्यं स्वबन्धुजनपोषकम् ॥ ४७½ ॥

45-47½ : Placement of Venus in the Angle sign, the 2nd house or the 9th house from the Mahadasa lord will depose results of the Antardasa of Venus in the Mahadasa of Jupiter like, gain of wealth and food grains; blessings of Goddess Laxami (wealth); meeting with the king; acquisition of vehicle; child birth; accretion of animals; utmost happiness; solace through-music, association of scholars, enjoyment of sumptuous food, nourishment of co-borns etc.

द्विसप्तमाधिपे शुक्रे तद्दशायां धनक्षतिः ॥ ४८ ॥

अपमृत्युभयं तस्य स्त्रीमूलादौषधादितः ।
तस्य रोगस्य शान्त्यर्थं शान्तिकर्म समाचरेत् ॥ ४९ ॥

श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यवृद्धये ।
शुक्रग्रहप्रसादेन ततः सुखमवाप्नुयात् ॥ ५० ॥

48-50 : Venus being the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, in its Antardasa there will be destruction of wealth; fear of early death of the wife owing to female medicament. For the alleviation of ill effects of causing disease, pious deeds be practiced, white cow and female buffalo be given away in charity which will enhance the longevity and bestow sound health. With this, happiness is attained with the blessings of Venus.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते सूर्ये स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रगेऽपि वा ।
केन्द्र वाऽथत्रिकोणे च दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ॥ ५१ ॥

धने वा बलसंयुते दायेशाद्वा तथैव च ।
तत्काले धनलाभः स्याद्राजसम्मानवैभवम् ॥ ५२ ॥

वाहनाम्बरपश्वादिभूषणं पुत्रसम्भवः ।
मित्रप्रभुवशादिष्टं सर्वकार्ये शुभावहम् ॥ ५३ ॥

51-53: In the Mahadasa of Jupiter, if the Sun is exalted or in own sign; posited in Angle, Trine, in the 3rd house, the 11th house or the 2nd house from the Ascendant and also having required strength, the Antardasa of the Sun will testify results such as, gain of wealth; recognition from the king; magnificence; acquisition of vehicle, clothes, cattle, ornaments; birth of children; friends etc., and success in all ventures with the help of Master (employer).

लग्नाष्टमव्यये सूर्ये दायेशाद्वा तथैव च ।
शिरोरोगादिपीडा च ज्वरपीडा तथैव च ॥ ५४ ॥

सत्कर्मसु तदा हीनः पापकर्म- चयस्तथा ।
सर्वत्र जनविद्वेषो ह्यात्मबन्घुवियोगकृत् ॥ ५५ ॥

अकस्मात्कलहश्चैव जीवस्यान्तर्गते रवौ ॥ ५५½ ॥

54-55½: If the Sun is placed at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th position (house) from the Ascendant and Mahadasa lord (Jupiter), in its Antardasa, mental illness; pains from fever; apathy to pious deeds, inclination towards unscrupulous deeds; harbouring ill feelings towards one and all, grief of co-borns, picking up quarrels without any cause; will be the results.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहपीडा भविष्यति ॥ ५६ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थमादित्यहृदयं जपेत् ।
सर्वपीडोपशमनं श्रीसूर्यस्य प्रसादतः ॥ ५७ ॥

56-57: If the Sun is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause bodily distress. For the alleviation of the evil effects; if Aditya Haridaya Patha (आदित्य हृदय पाठ) is performed, it would relieve all troubles and afflictions.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते चन्द्रे केन्द्रे लाभत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षराशिस्थे पूर्णे चैव बलैर्युते ॥ ५८ ॥

दायेशाच्छुभराशिस्थे राजसम्मानवैभवम् ।
दारपुत्रादिसौख्यं च क्षीराणां भोजनं तथा ॥ ५९ ॥

सत्कर्म च तथा कीर्तिः पुत्रपौत्रादिवृद्धिदा ।
महाराजाप्रसादेन सर्वसौख्यं धनागमः ॥ ६० ॥

अनेकजनसौख्यं च दानधर्मदिसंग्रहः ॥ ६०½ ॥

58-60½: In the Mahadasa of Jupiter and Antardasa of the Moon, if the strong Moon is posited in Angle or Trine, in exaltations or own sign, and also placed in the benefic houses from the lord of the Mahadasa, it will produce results of felicitation from the king; magnificence; warmth of wife and children; sumptuous food, pious deeds; high reputation, increment in the children and grand children; attainment of all kinds of comforts and gain of wealth with the blessings of the king; receiving happiness from different kinds of people; deep inclination towards charity and other religious acts.

Balance Dasa; Moon 1 year, 2 months, 25 days.

In the birth chart, the Moon is located in the Trine house and is at Angle to Jupiter, the Mahadasa lord. Shadabala of the Moon is 6.62 Rupa, a little short of full strength of 7 Rupa. On the Navamsa chart both the Moon and Jupiter are in the 5th house. The native in the main period. of Jupiter and sub-period of Jupiter (from 7-12-1992 to 8-4-1994) received huge projects and completed all the scheduled programmes. He was also elected as President of the State Traders Association. This aspect could be confirmed from the Dashamsa chart placed hereafter.

In the dashamsa chart, the Moon duly conjoined with Venus is situated in the 10th house and Jupiter is again in a Trine house (9th). The elevation of the work level and status are the obvious results felt during the sub-period of the Moon in the main period of Jupiter.

षष्ठाष्टमव्यये चन्द्रे स्थिते वा पापसंयुते ॥ ६१ ॥

दायेशात्षष्ठरन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ।
मानार्थबन्धुहानिश्च विदेशपरिविच्युतिः ॥ ६२ ॥

नृपचौरादिपीडा च दायादजनविग्रहः ।
मातुलादिवियोगश्च मातृपीडा तथैव च ॥ ६३ ॥

61-63 : A weak Moon if placed at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa (Jupiter), will cause loss of prestige, wealth and known ones, foreign visits; suffering from the king and thieves; dispute with the co-partners; grief of maternal uncle; sufferings to mother; during the Antardasa of the Moon in the Mahadasa of Jupiter.

द्वितीयषष्ठयोरीशे देहपीडा भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गापाठं च कारयेत् ॥ ६४ ॥

64 : If the Moon is the lord of the 2nd, the 7th or the 6th house, it will cause physical sufferings. To mitigate the evil effects, Durga Saptashati Patha (दुर्गा सप्तशती पाठ) be performed.

जीवस्यान्तर्गते भौमे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वापि तुंगांशे स्वांशगेऽपि वा ॥ ६५ ॥

विद्याविवाहकार्याणि ग्रामभूम्यादिलाभकृत् ।
जनसामर्थ्यमाप्नोति सर्वकार्यार्थसिद्धिदम् ॥ ६६ ॥

65-68: During the Antardasa of Mars in the Mahadasa of Jupiter, if Mars is located in Angle, Trine, exalted or in own sign or in own or exalted Navamsa, there will be marriage ceremony; acquisition of land and Village; gain of the strength of the masses and successes in all pursuits.

दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणस्थे लाभे वा धनगेऽपि वा ।
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे धनधान्यादिसम्पदः ॥ ६७ ॥

मिष्ठान्नदानविभवं राजप्रीतिकरं शुभम् ।
स्त्रीसौख्यं च सुतावाप्तिः पुण्यतीर्थफलं तथा ॥ ६८ ॥

67-68: Placement of Mars at Angle, Trine, in the 11th or the 2nd house from the Mahadasa lord (Jupiter) and duly aspected and conjoined with the benefic planets, the Antardasa of Mars will produce effects such as gain of wealth, prosperity and other assets; food with sweet; profit from the affection of the king; comforts of wife and children and pilgrimage.

दायेशाद्रन्ध्रभावे वा व्यये वा नीचगेऽपि वा ।
पापयुक्तेक्षिते वापि धान्यार्थगृहनाशनम् ॥ ६९ ॥

नानारोगभयं दुःखं नेत्ररोगादिसम्भवः ।
पूर्वार्द्धे कष्टमधिकमपरार्द्धे महत्सुखम् ॥ ७० ॥

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहजाड्यं मनोरुजः ।
वृषभस्य प्रदानं तु सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायकम् ॥ ७१ ॥

69-71: If Mars is posited at the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house or in debilitation, aspected conjoined with the malefic planets, there will be loss of wealth, crops, house, fear and grief of various diseases; possibility of eye trouble. There will be great distress in first half and extreme happiness in the 2nd half of the Antardasa. This Mars if acquires the lordship of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause physical and mental anguish.

Example-47

Data : Date of birth 28-12-1954; Time of birth 21-37 hrs (IST) Latitude 28°-51 (N), Longitude 78°-47' (E).

Balance of Dasa: Moon 1 year, 3 month, 10 days.

The sequence of incident was as follows. A youth staying opposite to the native's house observed that the natives' wife remained alone in the day time after sending her children to the school. He enterned the house of the native one day and attempted to molest her but she resisted and thus the youth took to his heels. However, some neighbours noticed the youth leaving the house. When this woman narrated the whole episode, the neighbours took the side of the youth. After this incident, the native faced lots of allegations and suffered tremendous amount of humiliation and he was forced to sell his house and settle down in some other town. This all happened in the Antardasa of Mars.

शुभयुक्तेक्षिते वापि योगप्रीतिं समादिशेत् ।
भुक्त्यादौ पञ्चमासांश्च धनधान्यादिकं लभेत् ॥ ७३ ॥

देशग्रामाधिकारं च यवनप्रभुदर्शनम् ।
गृहे कल्याणसम्पत्तिर्बहुसेनाधिपत्यकम् ॥ ७४ ॥

दूरयात्राधिगमनं पुण्यधर्मदिसंग्रहः ।
सेतुस्नानफलावाप्तिरिष्टसिद्धिः सुखावहा ॥ ७५ ॥

72-75: In he Rahu's Antardasa of the Mahadasa of Jupiter if, Rahu is located in its own, exaltation or Moolatrikona sign or at Angle or Trine from the Ascendant, conjoined with Angle lord or under Aspect or conjunction with the benefic planets, it will give results of such combinations. From the beginning of the Antardasa and upto five months, there will be excessive gains of wealth and prosperity, becoming head of the state or village; meeting with the house lord; happiness and prosperity at home; commander of a big Army; visit to a distant place; accretion of pious deeds; bathing in pond and monetary (Laxami) gains will be achieved.

दायेशाद्रन्ध्रभावे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
चौराहिव्रणभीतिश्च राजवैषम्यमेव च ॥ ७६ ॥

गृहे कर्मकलापेन व्याकुलो भवति ध्रुवम् ।
सोदरेण विरोध: स्याद्दायादजनविग्रहः ॥ ७७ ॥

गृहे त्वशुभकार्याणि दुःस्वप्नादिभयं ध्रुवम् ।
अकस्मात्कलहश्चैव क्षुद्रशून्यादिरोगकृत् ॥ ७८ ॥

76-78 : Placement of Rahu at the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa and conjunction with the malefic planets, there will be danger from thieves, snakes, injuries; confrontation with the king; anxiety over the tremendous pressure of work at home (this is certain ): opposition from the brothers; conflicts with the co-parceners; inauspicious ceremonies at home; fear of bad dreams, quarrels without any reason; disease of numbness or fainting (of short durations) like epilepsy etc.

द्विसप्तमस्थिते राहौ देहबाधां विनिर्दिशेत् ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ॥ ७९ ॥

छागदानं प्रकुर्वीत सर्वसौख्यमवाप्नुयात् ।
देवपूजाप्रसादेन राहुतुष्ट्या द्विजोत्तम ! ॥ ८० ॥

79-80: If Rahu is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house, physical distress should be indicated.

For the alleviation of such affliction, Mrityunjaya Japa (मृत्युन्ज्य जप) be performed. Donating goat in charity would bestow all kinds of happiness. O, Great Brahmin ! By worshipping Deva (दैव), Rahu gets propitiated.
