60. RESULTS OF THE ANTARDASAS IN THE MAHADASA OF MERCURY

मुक्ताविद्रुमलाभश्च ज्ञानकर्मसुखादिकम् ।
विद्यामहत्त्वं कीर्तिश्च नूतनप्रभुदर्शनम् ॥ १ ॥

विभवं दारपुत्रादिपितृमातृसुखावहम् ।
स्वोच्चादिस्थेऽथ नीचेऽस्ते षष्ठाष्टव्ययराशिगे ॥ २ ॥

पापयुक्तेऽथवा दृष्टे धनधान्यपशुक्षयः ।
आत्मबन्धुविरोधश्च शूलरोगादिसम्भवः ॥ ३ ॥

राजकार्यकलापेन व्याकुलो भवति ध्रुवम् ॥ ३½ ॥

1-3½ : If Mercury being in the exaltation position etc., during the Antardasa of Mercury of the Mahadasa of Mercury, there will be gain of pearls, corals, education, endeavours; improvements in comforts; scholarship in education; high reputation; meeting with the new king (Government heads) exuberant Luxuries; warmth of wife, children and father.

If Mercury be in the sign of debilitation or in the Trik houses (6/8/12) or conjoined with or aspected by the malefic planets, it will cause loss of wealth, crops and animals, opposition from co-borns, possibility of disease like shooting abdomen pains; anxiety over official works etc.

द्वितीयधूननाथे तु दारक्लेशो भविष्यति ॥ ४ ॥

आत्मसम्बन्धिमरणं वातशूलादिसम्भवः ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं विष्णुसाहस्रकं जपेत् ॥ ५ ॥

4-5 : Should Mercury be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will manifest distress to wife, death of some relative, disease like gastric, intense abdomen pains etc. In order to alleviate such afflictions, Japa (जप) of Vishu-Sahasarnama be performed.

The horoscope illustrated here under, will show how Mercury gets influenced by other planets, it has the association.

In the birth chart, Mercury is the lord of Ascendant and the 4th house and posited in the 2nd house alongwith Mars and Ketu. As it is a known fact that for Gemini Ascendant, the maleficence of Mars gets intensified because it acquires the lordship of the 6th and the 11th houses and Sage Parasara has described the 3rd, the 6th and the 11th houses as malefic houses. The 6th house signifies the disease and injuries and 11th being the 6th from the 6th house also acquires the same significance. Infact, Mars itself is the significator of accidents and injuries. Ketu is also known for delivering results like Mars. All these three planets are located in the death inflicting house (मारक स्थान). Here Mercury represents body (Ascendant lord) vehicle and land (the 4th house lord).

The Antardasa of Mercury in the Mahadasa of Mercury operated between 8-12-1988 and 7-5-1991 and during this period, the native purchased a piece of land which was under dispute and this fact was not known to him. The opposite party murdered the native around the same time while he was travelling in his vehicle. In the Navamsa chart, Mercury and Ketu together posited in the 7th house (Maraka house). Mars is the lord of the 8th house which gives violent death. The Trimsamsa chart also lends full support to this incident.

The Ascendant of the Trimsamsa Chart is also Gemini. Here again Mercury and Mars are together and are located in the 10th house where Mercury is in the sign of debilitation and aspecting the 4th house. In this chart, the position of Saturn in the 6th house has also exerted its influence to further aggravate the situation. Here again Mars is the lord of 6th house (dispute) and Mars denotes land and violence.

बुधस्यान्तर्गते केतौ लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
शुभयुक्ते शुभैर्दृष्टे लग्नाधिपसमन्विते ॥ ६ ॥

योगकारकसम्बन्धे दायेशात्केन्द्रलाभगे ।
देहसौख्यं धनाल्पत्वं बन्धुस्नेहमथादिशेत् ॥ ७ ॥

चतुष्पाज्जीवलाभ: स्यात्संचारेण धनागमः ।
विद्याकीर्तिप्रसंगश्च समानप्रभुदर्शनम् ॥ ८ ॥

भोजनाम्बरसौख्यं च ह्यादौ मध्ये सुखावहम् ॥ ८½ ॥

6-81½ : During the Antardasa of Ketu in the Mahadasa of Mercury, if Ketu is placed in Angle or Trine, conjoined with or aspected by the benefic planets or associated with the Yogakaraka planet or from the lord of the Mahadasa, if it is located at Angle or in the 11th house, it will confer results like bodily comforts. generation of abundant wealth, affection of brothers and friends; gain of animals, acquisition of wealth through travellings; educational attainments and opportunities for improvement of reputation; honourable meeting with the king; comforts of food and clothes in the beginning and also in the middle of the Antardasa.

A horoscope revealing these effects is discussed as under :

Latitude 28°-23' (N); Longitude, 77°-47' (E)

Balance of Dasa: Rahu 5 years, 10 months, 5 days.

In the birth chart, Ketu is posited in the 11th house (gains) alongwith with Mercury and the Sun. During the sub-period of Ketu in the major period of Mercury, the native had great success in his business. With the help of the state authorities, he obtained number of licences. Besides, he also made huge profits in the 'share business'.

दायेशाद्यदि रन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ ९ ॥

वाहनात्पतनं चैव पुत्रक्लेशादिसम्भवः ।
चौरादिराजभीतिश्च पापकर्मरतः सदा ॥ १० ॥

वृश्चिकादिविषाद्मीतिर्नीचैः कलहसंभवः ।
शोकरोगादिदुःखं च नीचसंगादिकं भवेत् ॥ ११ ॥

9-11 : If Ketu is placed in the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa and is conjoined with the malefic planets, it will cause fall from the vehicle; dispute with the children; danger from thieves and king (state authorites), tendeny of bad deeds, danger from scorpion and the poisonous reptiles, possibility of disputes; grief disease, sorrow, association of menial persons etc.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहजाड्यं भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहाराय छागदानं तु कारयेत् ॥ १२ ॥

12 : If Ketu be the lord of 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause stiffness in the body. To mitigate the ill effects, goat be given in charity.

सौम्यस्यान्तर्गते शुक्रे केन्द्रे लाभे त्रिकोणगे ।
सत्कथापुण्यधर्मादिसंग्रह: पुण्यकर्मकृत् ॥ १३ ॥

मित्रप्रभुवशादिष्टं क्षेत्रलाभः सुखं भवेत् ।
दशाधिपात्केन्द्रगते त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ॥ १४ ॥

तत्काले श्रियमाप्नोति राजश्रीधनसम्पदः ।
वापीकूपतडागादिदानधर्मादिसंग्रहः ॥ १५ ॥

व्यवसायात्फलाधिक्यं धनधान्यसमृद्धिकृत् ॥ १५½ ॥

13-15: In the Antardasa of Venus in the Mahadasa of Mercury, if Venus is placed in Angle, in the 11th house or in Trine, it will attribute results like listening to religious discourses; devoted to pious deeds and inclination towards religion; accomplishment of ambitions at the behest of Master (employer) and friends; gain of land and comforts. If Venus is in Angle, Trine or in the 11th house from the lord of the Mahadasa, there will be quick manifestation of wealth and property from the king, construction of pond, well, water pool etc., inclination towards religion; accumlation of wealth and prosperity due to great success in the business activities etc.

दायेशात्षष्ठरन्ध्रस्ये व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ॥ १६ ॥

हृद्रोगो मानहानिश्च ज्वरातीसारपीडनम् ।
आत्मबन्धुवियोगश्च संसारे भवति ध्रुवम् ॥ १७ ॥

आत्मकष्टं मनस्तापदायकं द्विजसत्तम ! ॥ १७½ ॥

16-17½ : Placement of Venus in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th position from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mercury) and devoid of strength will cause heart trouble, defamation; distress due to fever or dysentery and grief from own persons will certainly be caused. O, great Brahmin ! It will also manifest physical distress and mental anguish.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ॥ १८ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गादेवीजपं चरेत् ।
जगदम्बाप्रसादेन ततः शान्तिमवाप्नुयात् ॥ १९ ॥

18-19: If Venus is the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will inflict premature death. For the alleviation of this evil effect, the Mantras of Goddess Jagdamba (माँ जगदम्बा) be recited.

Ascendant it will ascribe normal benefic results but will not be good for the health. However, the Ascendant of Taurus is generally seen to cause more health hazards. The only discernable reason could be that here Venus will represent body of the native (Ascendant) and disease (6th house) as it is evident from the illustration analysed hereafter.

Data : Date of birth 26/27-8-1932; Time of birth 12-15 hrs (IST) Latitude, 28°-43' (N); Longitude, 77°-55' (E); Balance Dasa at birth, Rahu 16 years, 0 month, 15 days.

In the birth chart, Venus the lord of the Ascendant and the 6th house which represent body and disease respectively is posited in the 2nd house. Weak Moon lord of the 3rd house is in conjunction with Venus and these planets are placed at the 12th position from the lord of Mahadasa (Mercury). In fact, the Moolatrikona sign of Venus falls in the 6th house and thus Venus will give specific results of this house i.e. there will be more of malefic effects. This lady (native) contracted mouth cancer during the Antardasa of Venus and the Mahadasa of Mercury which operated from 6-2-1987 to 6-12-1989.

The Antardasa of Venus proves unfavourable for the Sagittarius and Pisces Ascendants particularly when Venus is placed in the sign of debilitation and Mercury is not posited in the auspicious houses. It is more damaging for the business activities in case of Sagittarius Ascendant, while for Pisces Ascendant, it create adverse situations for the native himself and his relationship with his wife. A native with Sagittarius Ascendant who was having a very good running business which got liquidated during the sub-period of Venus and he was forced to wind up his show and leave the town overnight. Venus is placed in the 10th house and in the sign of debilitation alongwith Rahu and duly aspected by Saturn. Mercury being in retrogression is also combust and posited in the 12th house. During the Mahadasa of Mercury and the Antardasa of Venus (from 28 6-1991 to 28-4-1994), the business of the native got badly affected due to the fraud committed by his elder brother and native had gone under heavy debts. Venus being the lord of the 11th house also signifies the elder brother. He also lost his father during this period.

सौम्यस्यान्तर्गते सूर्ये स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रकेन्द्रगे ।
त्रिकोणे धनलाभे तु तुंगांशे स्वांशगेऽपि वा ॥ २० ॥

राजप्रसादसौभाग्यं मित्रप्रभुवशात्सुखम् ।
भूम्यात्मजेन संदृष्टे आदौ भूलाभमादिशेत् ॥ २१ ॥

लग्नाधिपेन संदृष्टे बहुसौख्यं धनागमम् ।
ग्रामभूम्यादिलाभं च भोजनाम्बरसौख्यकृत् ॥ २२ ॥

20-22 : In the Mahadasa of Mercury and the Antardasa of the Sun, if the Sun is posited in its own sign or sign of exaltation or in Trine, in the 2nd, the 11th or in the exalted or own Navamsa, it will manifest results like pleasure of the king; increase in fortune; comforts of Master (employer) and friends. If the Sun is under the aspect of Mars, in the beginning of the Antardasa, there will be gain of property (land etc.) and if the Sun gets the aspect of the lord of the Ascendant, it will confer ample happiness, wealth, village (big estate), land and comfort of food and clothes etc.

Data : Date of birth, 5-10-1958; Time of birth 11-45 hrs (IST) Latitude, 27⁰-9' (N); Longitude, 78⁰-0' (E);

Balance of Dasa at birth, Saturn 17 years, 8 months, 1 day.

In the birth chart, the Sun being the lord of the 9th house is posited in the 10th house and Mercury is in the 11th house along with its lord Venus. The 11th house also signifies Income Tax Department. Although the Sun is at 12th house from Mercury, he is both dispositor of Mars and also the lord of the 9th house (fortune). The Sun is very powerful in Shadabala (8.13 Rupa) so is Mercury (8.79 Rupa). The highlight of this nativity is that their planets viz., the Sun and Mercury have acquired highest Shadabalas amongst the planets and both of them form Yogakaraka between them. Since the Sun is the significator of the Government and Mercury represents competition, the native got selected in the Income Tax Department of the Government through a very stiff competition.

लग्नाष्टमव्यये वापि शन्यारफणिसंयुते ।
दायेशाद्रिपुरन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ॥ २३ ॥

चौराग्निशस्त्रपीडा च पित्ताधिक्यं भविष्यति ।
शिरोरुङ्मनसस्ताप इष्टबन्धुवियोगकृत् ॥ २४ ॥

23-24: If the Sun is posited in the 8th or the 12th house and is conjoined with Saturn, Mars or Rahu or is in the Trik houses (6,8,12) from the lord of the Mahadasa and devoid of strength, it will manifest theft, fire, pains through weapons; bilious and head (brain) diseases, mental agony and grief of the friends etc.

द्वितीयसप्तमाधीशे ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शान्तिं कुर्याद्यथाविधि ॥ २५ ॥

25: Should the Sun be the lord of the 2nd and the 7th house, it will cause premature death. To mellow down the evil effects, Shanti Patha (शान्ति पाठ) with proper rituals be performed.

सौम्यस्यान्तर्गते चन्द्रे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वापि गृरुदृष्टिसमन्विते ॥ २६ ॥

योगस्थानाधिपत्येन योगप्राबल्यमादिशेत् ।
स्त्रीलाभं पुत्रलाभं च वस्त्रवाहनभूषणम् ॥ २७ ॥

26-27: During the Antardasa of the Moon in the Mahadasa of Mercury, if the Moon is placed in the Angle, Trine or in the sign of exaltation or in own sign or conjoined with or aspected by Jupiter or be the Yogakaraka planet and if such Yoga being strong, there will be results like gain of woman (marriage), children and acquisition of clothes, vehicle and ornaments.

नूतनालयलाभं च नित्यं मिष्टान्नभोजनम् ।
गीतवाद्यप्रसंगं च शास्त्रविद्यापरिश्रमम् ॥ २८ ॥

दक्षिणां दिशमाश्रित्य प्रयाणं च भविष्यति ।
द्वीपान्तरादिवस्त्राणां लाभश्चैव भविष्यति ॥ २९ ॥

मुक्ता विद्रुम रत्नानि धौतवस्त्रादिकं लभेत् ॥ २९½ ॥

28-29½ : In addition to what has been stated above, if the Moon is similarly placed, it will manifest gain of a new house; sweet with daily meals; pleasure of songs and instrumental music; study of Shastras (शास्त्र); visit to the South; gain of clothes from the Island (across the sea) acquisition of pearl, coral and gems.

नीचारिक्षेत्रसंयुक्ते देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ३० ॥

दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणस्थे दुश्चिक्ये लाभगेऽपि वा ।
तद्भुक्त्यादौ पुण्यतीर्थस्थानदैवतदर्शनम् ॥ ३१ ॥

मनोधैर्यं हृदुत्साहो विदेशधनलाभकृत् ॥ ३१½ ॥

30-31½ : Placement of the Moon in the sign of debilitation conjoined with the enemy planet, it will cause physical distress. The Moon be in the Angle, Trine, the 3rd or the 11th house, in the beginning of the Antardasa, it will produce results like visits to religious places, sighting of the devoted God, contentment, exultation at heart, gain of wealth from foreign land etc.

दायेशात्षष्ठरन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥ ३२ ॥

चोराग्निनृपभीतिश्च स्त्रीसमागमतो भवेत् ।
दुष्कृतिर्धनहानिश्च कृषिगोऽश्वादिनाशकृत् ॥ ३३ ॥

32-33: Placement of the Moon in the Trik houses (6, 8, 12) from the lord of the Mahadasa or conjunction with the malefic planet will attribute results such as theft, fire, fear from the king; disrepute caused by the extramarital relation of the wife; loss of wealth; destruction of crops, cows, horses etc.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु देहबाधा भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गादेवीजपं चरेत् ॥ ३४ ॥

वस्त्रदानं प्रकुर्वीत आयुवृद्धिसुखावहम् ।
जगदम्बाप्रसादेन ततः सुखमवाप्नुयात् ॥ ३५ ॥

34-35: Should the Moon be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause physical (body) distress. For the alleviation of the affliction, Japa (जप) of Goddess Durga be performed. Giving clothes in charity would enhance the longevity and comforts. All other comforts will also be bestowed with the blessings of Goddess Durga.

During this period, Commission Agent business would prosper very well. Besides, the native will get through all his ticklish matters from others with much ease, because Mercury is a messenger (go between) and the Moon reflects the light from others (the Sun). Therefore, such results are quite indicative from this combination. In this connection, an important and typical example is illustrated herewith :

Data : Date of birth 29-10-1952 (N); Time of birth, 20-08 hrs (IST) Latitude 28°-43 (N); Longitude 77°-55' (E); Balance of Dasa at birth, Jupiter 5 years, 10 months, 10 days.

In the birth chart, the Moon being the lord of the 3rd house is posited in the 10th house. The 3rd house is attributed to commission Agent business etc. because firstly, in the natural horoscope, this house belongs to Mercury who does the work of "go-between". Secondly, 3rd house signifies the younger brother, helper, friends and right hand and through these, lot many works could be carried out. In other words, the 3rd house is that house which exerts for the Ascendant.

Saturn, the lord of the 10th house (work place) is placed in the 5th house which belongs to Mercury and Mercury is posited in the 7th house (business). Since the job of the Commission Agent requires a sharp mind and promptness, the placement of Saturn in the 5th house is suitable for such laborious job. In this nativity, Mercury itself is the lord of the 5th house (wisdom) and Mercury is otherwise also the significator of intelligence. The native during the Mahadasa of Mercury and the Antardasa of the Moon (from 9-10-1984 to 9-3-1986) amassed sizeable wealth in the licensing business. The natives with Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces Ascendants are also slated to attain beneficial results in this Antardasa.

The Moon and Mercury also signify the children (शिशु) and adolescent (किशोर) stages (अवस्था) respectively. If the Mahadasa lord Mercury forms 'Arista Yoga' with the Moon and there would be possibility of danger to the life of the native. A pertinent horoscope is analysed over here.

Balance of Dasa at birth time, Mercury 14 years, 9 months, 7 days.

In the birth chart, the Moon being the lord of the 4th house is posited in the 8th house lands in the sign of debilitation. The Moon is conjoined with Mars and Ketu. During the Mahadasa of Mercury and Antardasa of the Moon (from 26-2-1989 to 26-7-1990), the native seriously suffered from pneumonia which reached to near fatal stage. Here, the Moon forms 'Arista Yoga' in the 8th house. In this period, the mother of the native had also under gone bodily distress.

सौम्यस्यान्तर्गते भौमे लग्नात्केन्द्रत्रिकोणगे ।
स्वोच्चे वा स्वर्क्षगे वापि लग्नाधिपसमन्विते ॥ ३६ ॥

राजानुग्रह्मशान्तिं च गृहे कल्याणसम्भवम् ।
लक्ष्मीकटाक्षचि हानि नष्टराज्यार्थमाप्नुयात् ॥ ३७ ॥

पुत्रोत्सवादिसन्तोषं गृहं गोधनसंकुलम् ।
गृहक्षेत्रादिलाभं च गजवाजिसमन्वितम् ॥ ३८ ॥

राजप्रीतिकरं चैव स्त्रीसौख्यं चातिशोभनम् ॥ ३८ ½ ॥

36-38½ : If there is Antardasa of Mars in the Mahadasa of Mercury and Mars is posited in Angle or Trine from the Ascendant or in the sign of exaltation or own sign or conjoined with the lord of the Ascendant, it will manifest results like peace and welfare at home with the grace of the king; regain of kingdom (lost status or position) and wealth with the blessings of Goddess Laxami; satisfaction over the birth function of a child; acquisition of cow herd; gain of house, land etc., accumulation of elephants and horses; pleasure of king (authority) and wife.

नीचक्षेत्रसमायुक्ते ह्यष्टमे वा व्ययेऽपि वा ॥ ३९ ॥

पापदृष्टियुते वापि देहपीडा मनोव्यथा ।
उद्योगभंगो देशादौ स्वग्रामे धान्यनाशनम् ॥ ४० ॥

ग्रंथिशस्त्रव्रणादीनां भयं तापज्वरादिकम् ॥ ४०½ ॥

39-40½: If Mars is placed in the sign of debilitation or in the 6th or the 8th house or under the aspect or in conjunction with the malefic planets, it will cause bodily sufferings; mental distress; loss of work; destruction of wealth in the country or village; danger of weapons, wound (injury), fever etc.

दायेशात्केन्द्रगे भौमे त्रिकोणे लाभगेऽपि वा ॥ ४१ ॥

शुभदृष्टे धनप्राप्तिर्देहसौख्यं भवेन्नृणाम् ।
पुत्रलाभो यशोवृद्धिर्भातृवर्गो महाप्रियः ॥ ४२ ॥

41-42: Placement of Mars in Angles, Trines or in the 11th house, and aspected by the benefic planets will confer, acquisition of wealth, physical comfort, birth of a child; expansion of reputation; affection of brothers.

दायेशादथ रन्ध्रस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ।
तद्भुक्त्यादौ महाक्लेशो प्रातृवर्गे महद्भयम् ॥ ४३ ॥

नृपाग्निचौरभीतिश्च पुत्रमित्रविरोधनम् ।
स्थानभ्रंशो भवेदादौ मध्ये सौख्यं धनागमः ॥ ४४ ॥

अन्ते तु राजभीति: स्यात्स्थानभ्रंशोह्यथापि वा ॥ ४४½ ॥

43-44½ : If Mars is placed at the 8th or 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa (Mercury) and is conjoined with the malefic planets, in the beginning of the Antardasa (Mars) there will be extensive distress, fear (apprehension) amongst brothers; danger from the king, fire, theft, confrontation with the children and friends; loss of place (position) etc. Beginning of the Antardasa brings gain of wealth while the end will cause fear of king and destruction of place.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युभयं भवेत् ॥ ४५ ॥

गोदानं च प्रकुर्वीत मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
शंकरस्य प्रसादेन ततः सुखमवाप्नुयात् ॥ ४६ ॥

45-46: Mars be the lord of the 2nd or the 7th house, it will induce premature death. In that event, by giving cow in charity and recitation of Mrityunjaya Japa (जप), peace will prevail with the blessings of lord Shiva.

Balance of Dasa of Birth; Rahu 17 years, 8 months, 7 days

In the birth chart, Mars being the lord of the 4th house (land) and the 9th house (fortune) placed in the 9th house itself duly conjoined with Mercury and with the aspect of the Moon. The 6th house belongs to maternal uncle and 7th house therefrom (12th) will pertain to the wife of the uncle (Aunt). The lord of the 12th house is the Moon (here signifying the Aunt) aspects on the combination of Mars and Mercury. This uncle of the native did not have any issue. After ten years of the death of the uncle his Aunt was the only living person who remained on the maternal side. 47-49 : When there is Antardasa of Rahu in the Mahadasa of Mercury and Rahu is placed in Angle, Trine, or in the 11th house from the Ascendant or in Cancer, Aquarius, Virgo or Taurus sign, there will be affection from the king; attainment highly respectable position; gain of wealth; dip at the holy shrines; vision of devoted God; fulfilment of ambitions; reverence from elders; acquisition of clothes. In the first half of the Antardasa, there would be possibility of some physical distress but the second half would usher delight and happiness.

लग्नाष्टव्ययराशिस्थे तद्भुक्तौ धननाशनम् ।
भुक्त्यादौ देहनाशश्च वातज्वरमजीर्णकृत् ॥ ५० ॥

50: Placement of Rahu in the 8th or the 12th house from the Ascendant, in the Antardasa of Rahu there will be loss of wealth. In the beginning of the Antardasa, it will cause gastric problem, fever and irritation due to chronic disease.

लग्नादुपचये राहौ शुभग्रहसमन्विते ।
राजसंलापसन्तोषो नूतनप्रभुदर्शनम् ॥ ५१ ॥

51 : If Rahu is placed in Upachaya houses (3,6, 10, 11) duly conjoined with the auspicious planets, it will bring satisfaction over the discussion with the king; meeting with the new king.

दायेशाद् द्वादशे वापि ह्यष्टमे पापसंयुते ।
निष्ठुरं राजकार्याणि स्थानभ्रंशो महद्भयम् ॥ ५२ ॥

बन्धनं रोगपीडा च निज-बन्धुमनोव्यथा ।
हृद्रोगो मानहानिश्च धनहानिर्भविष्यति ॥ ५३ ॥

52-53 : Placement of Rahu in the 12th or the 8th house duly conjunct with the malefic planets will produce results like handling the state affairs with cruelty; loss of position; tremendous fear; imprisonment; sufferings through diseases; mental agony from the co-borns; heart ailments; disrepute and loss of wealth.

द्वितीयसप्तमस्थे वा ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं दुर्गालक्ष्मीजपं चरेत् ॥ ५४ ॥

श्वेतां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यदायिनीम् ।
जगदम्बाप्रसादेन ततः सुखमवाप्नुयात् ॥ ५५ ॥

54-55: If Rahu is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause premature death. For the alleviation of the evil effects, the Japa (जप) of Goddess Laxmi be performed By giving white cow, buffalo etc., in charity will confer longevity and sound health. Comforts will be achieved with the blessing of Goddess Jagdamba (बगदम्बा).

नीचे वास्तंगते वापि षष्ठाष्टव्ययगेऽपि वा ॥ ५९ ॥

शन्यारदृष्टसंयुक्ते कलहो राजविग्रहः ।
चौरादिदेहपीडा च पितृमातृविनाशनम् ॥ ६० ॥

मानहानि राजदण्डो धनहानिर्भविष्यति ।
विषाहिज्वरपीडा च कृषिभूमिविनाशनम् ॥ ६१ ॥

59-61 : If Jupiter is in the sign of debilitation or combust or posited in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house under the aspect or conjoined with Mars or Saturn, it will cause quarrel, confrontation with the King; distress from the theft, loss of mother or father; disrepute; punishment from the king; loss of wealth; danger from snakes, poison and fever; destruction of crops etc.

दायेशात्केन्द्रकोणे वा लाभे वा बलसंयुते ।
बन्धुपुत्रहृदुत्साहो शुभं च धनसंयुतम् ॥ ६२ ॥

पशुवृद्धिर्यशोवृद्धिरन्नदानादिकं फलम् ॥ ६२½ ॥

62-62½: If Jupiter is placed in Angle, Trine or in the 11th house or having strength, it will produce exultation at heart, attain ment of auspicious results; accumulation of wealth; increase in animals; improvement in reputation; charity of food grains etc.

दायेशात्षष्ठरन्ध्रे वा व्यये वा बलवर्जिते ।
अडगंतापश्च वैकल्यं देहबाधा भविष्यति ॥ ६३ ॥

कलत्रबन्धुवैषम्यं राजकोपो धनक्षयः ॥ ६४ ॥

अकस्मात्कलहाद्भीतिः प्रमादो द्विजतो भयम् ॥ ६४½ ॥

63-64½: Placement of Jupiter in the 6th, the 8th or the 12th house from the lord of the Mahadasa and devoid of strength will cause fever; anxiety, physical distress, opposition from wife and co borns, wrath of the king; loss of wealth; possibility of quarrel without cause; lethargy; fear of Brahmin etc.

द्वितीयसप्तमस्थे वा देहबाघा भविष्यति ॥ ६५ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं शिवसाहस्त्रकं जपेत् ।
गोभूहिरण्यदानेन सर्वारिष्टं व्यपोहति ॥ ६६ ॥

65-66 : If Jupiter is posited in the 2nd and the 7th house, it will cause bodily distress. For the mitigation of these ill effects, Japa (जप) of Shiva Sahasranama be performed. All afflictions will get alleviated if cow, land, gold be given in charity.

सौम्यस्यान्तर्गते मन्दे स्वोच्चे स्वक्षेत्रकेन्द्रगे ।
त्रिकोणलाभगे वापि गृहे कल्याणवर्द्धनम् ॥ ६७ ॥

राज्यलाभं महोत्साहं गृहं गोधनसंकुलम् ॥ ६८ ॥

शुभस्थानफलावाप्तिं तीर्थवासं तथादिशेत् ॥ ६८½ ॥

67-68½ : When Saturn is placed in the Sign of exaltation or in own sign or in Angle, Trine or in the 11th house then in the Antardasa of Saturn of the Mahadasa of Mercury, there will be results like increase in the welfare at home; acquisition of kingdom, great exultation; accumulation of cow herd; gain of excellant place; dwelling in religious places etc.

अष्टमे वा व्यये मन्दे दायेशाद्वा तथैव च ॥ ६९ ॥

अरातिदुःखबाहुल्यं दारपुत्रादिपीडनम् ।
बुद्धिभ्रंशो बन्धुनाशः कर्मनाशो मनोरुजः ॥ ७० ॥

विदेशगमनं चैव दुःस्वप्नादिप्रदर्शनम् ॥ ७०½ ॥

69-70½ : If Saturn is posited in the 8th, the 12th, it will cause anguish from the enemies; distress to wife and children; degeneration of intellect; destruction of kinsmen; loss of work; mental anguish; foreign travels; bad dreams etc.

द्वितीयद्यूननाथे तु ह्यपमृत्युर्भविष्यति ॥ ७१ ॥

तद्दोषपरिहारार्थं मृत्युञ्जयजपं चरेत् ।
कृष्णां गां महिषीं दद्यादायुरारोग्यवृद्धये ॥ ७२ ॥

71-72: if Saturn is posited in the 2nd or the 7th house, it will cause untimely death. To alleviate this affliction, Mrityunjaya Japa (चप) be recited and black cow, buffalo, be given in charity which will confer a good longevity and sound health.
